Through the discussion session, voter Nguyen Thanh Hong, former Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of the old Go Cong Tay district (currently residing in An Thanh Thuy commune, Dong Thap province) highly appreciated the management efforts of the Government, ministries, branches and localities, helping the socio -economic situation in 2025 to continue to maintain a positive recovery momentum, stabilize the macro-economy, control inflation and ensure social security. The implementation of three strategic breakthroughs has achieved many remarkable results, and the work of resource management, environmental protection and climate change adaptation has had positive changes. The GDP scale in 2025 is estimated to reach 510 billion USD, an increase of 1.48 times compared to 2020; GDP per capita reaches about 5,000 USD; average income per capita reaches about 4,700 USD, putting Vietnam in the group of upper middle-income countries.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hong emphasized that the weather situation is becoming more and more complicated and extreme, climate change causes landslides, land subsidence, saltwater intrusion... greatly affecting people's lives and production. Voters recommended that the Government implement many solutions and programs to respond to climate change in the Mekong Delta, the Central region and major cities; at the same time, clearly state the orientation to build a national strategy on energy security, water resources security and sustainable development of the living environment, supporting people in protecting their property and lives.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Muoi Hai, former Chairwoman of the Women's Union of the old Cho Gao district, Secretary of the Party Cell of My Thanh hamlet, Binh Ninh commune, Dong Thap province, expressed her high consensus with the socio-economic development plan for 2025, and the planned socio-economic development plan for 2026. In 2025, with the direction of the Government, ministries, branches and localities, the socio-economic situation has had many bright spots. Social security has been significantly improved, and people's lives have been increasingly improved. In particular, in the work of responding to natural disasters and climate change, the environment, Ms. Muoi Hai realized that some regulations on environmental protection, collection and treatment of waste, wastewater in aquaculture, and solid waste in daily life have not been strictly implemented.

Ms. Muoi Hai expressed concern about the situation of medical waste treatment, especially in rural areas, water pollution, etc. Therefore, she proposed that the Government and the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment recommend that the Government integrate climate change response and natural disaster prevention into local socio-economic development plans and land use plans; at the same time, deploy many solutions to respond to environmental protection, including landfilling and environmental treatment; increase resources for the environment as investment for development, focus on waste collection, invest in medical facilities and waste treatment facilities that meet standards, contributing to environmental safety.
