Master Vo Minh Nghia, Nguyen Du High School (District 10, Ho Chi Minh City), said that the reading comprehension content is rich in literature, rich in educational value and especially very good when touching on the philosophies of life. Students have the opportunity to ponder and reflect on the continuity between generations. The reading comprehension questions are synchronized with the topics of the social argumentative paragraph and literary argumentative paragraph.

According to Mr. Nghia, the brightest and best point of this year's exam is that after students finish reading comprehension, with the mindset of preserving the culture of the thousand-year flow, the part of writing a social argument is a complement, supporting the topic of respecting one's own personality. "That means we are the successor but we must also be ourselves, affirming our personality in the flow of history. This is a very subtle connection in the meaning of the person who created the exam," Mr. Nghia analyzed.

In the writing section, the issue of respecting individuality in social argumentation is interesting, suitable for candidates, and appropriate for the psychology of young people who want to assert themselves. The issue is also highly educational, quite close, and easy to understand.

Teacher Truong Duc, Le Quy Don High School (District 3, Ho Chi Minh City), pointed out 5 interesting points of the "seemingly old" exam in the context of the final exam whose content and knowledge were compiled according to the 2006 General Education Program. According to Mr. Duc, the topic of the exam is unified, if the student is good, he will discover it and use it as a connecting point. The parts of the exam are always complementary.

Mr. Duc explained: "The reading comprehension section affirms the connection and inheritance to create sustainable values. Each individual cannot be separated from the community. The social argument goes in a different direction, affirming that the individual self needs to be respected. This seems to contradict the reading comprehension section, but it is dialectical thinking. This question is very good in relation to the overall content. In particular, the literary argument has aroused the responsibility of each individual towards the country through the cultural and geographical aspects. The scope of the text is quite good, both consistent with the content of the entire exam and stating the value of literary elements and the value of folk literature materials."

Commenting on the way the literature exam was set this year, Ms. Trinh Thi Thu Tuyet, former literature teacher at Chu Van An High School ( Hanoi ), said: In general, the exam questions met the requirements of content and format of a high school graduation exam; and were also consistent with the requirements for a final exam of the education program that was launched nearly two decades ago.

"The two parts of reading comprehension and writing in the exam follow the basic model from the 2017 exam until now with the structure, format and level of awareness in the questions without any surprises that always contain novelty for candidates, not difficult but also not bringing much excitement, an element that should not be lacking when talking about literature. The ability to classify the exam is still the classification of reading comprehension and text perception levels. The classification is recognized by the examiner's delicate and accurate assessment," Ms. Tuyet commented.

Give candidates supplementary advice on solving exam questions
