Cuba wishes to increase people-to-people exchanges and cooperation in many fields with Da Nang.

Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes expressed his impression of the dynamic and modern development of Da Nang city. He said Cuba wishes to expand investment cooperation with Da Nang businesses, especially in the fields of health,education , science and technology and tourism.

The Ambassador affirmed that he would play an active role as a bridge, contributing to promoting cooperation between the two sides in many fields. He emphasized that Cuba has strengths in training and providing high-quality medical human resources, and is willing to share experiences with Da Nang in training doctors, nurses and medical staff . The Ambassador hoped that the two sides would increase people-to-people exchanges, share experiences in developing tourism, science and technology and promote cooperation in other potential areas towards sustainable development.

Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Committee Ho Ky Minh said that Da Nang is promoting the construction of a smart urban model, developing a creative startup center and key industries such as information technology, tourism , logistics, and high technology.

The city leaders expressed their hope that the Cuban Ambassador would act as a bridge to promote cooperation between Da Nang and Cuban partners in areas of mutual interest such as health, education, science, sports, culture and information technology. Da Nang is ready to create favorable conditions for Cuban businesses to access the market and explore investment opportunities in the locality.
