Emulation cluster No. VIII of the People's Court promotes trial work, strives to achieve and exceed targets

Emulation cluster No. VIII of the People's Court (TAND), including 7 units in the provinces of the Southeast and Central Highlands regions: Dong Nai, Binh Thuan, Lam Dong, Tay Ninh, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong, Ba Ria - Vung Tau.

According to the report at the conference, in the first 6 months of 2025, the People's Courts of the provinces in Cluster VIII have actively deployed and launched the emulation movement in 2025 with the motto "Solidarity, Responsibility, Discipline, Integrity, Innovation, Overcoming Difficulties, Efficiency". The People's Courts in the Cluster have set out specific goals and tasks in the monthly working program of the Party Committee and Party Cells, taking the professional task of resolving all types of cases and matters as the key task of the work.

Specifically, in the first 6 months of 2025, the entire Emulation Cluster No. VIII received 69,990 cases and resolved nearly 34,500 cases and incidents, reaching a rate of nearly 50%. Compared to the same period, the number of cases received increased by over 5,200 cases and incidents, and the number of cases resolved increased by nearly 2,500 cases and incidents. From 2020 to 2025, the units of Emulation Cluster No. VIII received 436,993 cases and incidents of all kinds, resolved 403,994 cases and incidents of all kinds, reaching a rate of 92.26%.

The work of enforcing criminal judgments ensures that decisions on the execution of sentences are made with legal effect for 100% of convicted persons; monitoring and organizing the consideration of reducing the time of serving prison sentences and early release of prisoners in accordance with the law. 100% of court judgments and decisions are issued within the time limit prescribed by law. The settlement of cases and matters always ensures the time limit, does not exceed the time limit prescribed by law, does not wrongly judge or let criminals escape.

Comrade Vu Thi Nguyet - Deputy Chief Justice of Lam Dong Provincial People's Court reported a summary of the emulation movement results in 2020 - 2025.

The work of commendation; propaganda work, building typical propaganda lines in the first months of the year have been paid attention to and focused on. In particular, continuing to implement Plan No. 09/KH-TANDTC-TĐKT dated March 25, 2021 of the People's Court Emulation and Commendation Council on propagating patriotic emulation movements and building advanced models for the period 2021 - 2026; Chief Justices of the People's Courts of the provinces in the Cluster have developed plans to foster advanced models and typical models in the year; at the same time, many measures have been proposed to improve the effectiveness of propagating advanced models in the unit. As a result, in the first 6 months of the year, the whole Cluster had 63 advanced models, including 22 collectives and 41 individuals.

According to the general assessment, in the past 5 years (2020 - 2025), the leadership, direction and implementation of emulation and reward work have always been focused on and timely. From specific actions, it has encouraged collectives and individuals of units to coordinate closely and effectively in organizing emulation and reward activities.

Heads of units under the Emulation Cluster No. VIII of the People's Court have emulation plans and organize the launching of patriotic emulation movements associated with the implementation of the political tasks of the unit, such as: Promoting the settlement and improving the quality of adjudication of all types of cases, striving to not let cases exceed the statutory time limit; improving the quality of judgments; raising awareness of practicing thrift, fighting corruption and waste; studying and following the example of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style...

Officials, civil servants and employees in the units of the Cluster are always aware of studying to improve their professional qualifications and have a high sense of responsibility in performing their tasks, always unite and strive to complete common goals and tasks; enthusiastically compete to achieve achievements, strengthen movement activities, especially focusing on volunteer and charity work.

At the conference, delegates contributed their comments and discussed some shortcomings and limitations as well as proposed solutions to improve the quality of professional work and emulation and reward work. Units in Emulation Cluster No. VIII also proposed directions and tasks for emulation and reward work in the last 6 months of 2025; at the same time, actively exchanged experiences to successfully complete assigned tasks.

Notably, the promotion of trial work strives to achieve and exceed the emulation targets set by the Supreme People's Court, actively promoting initiatives and improving working methods to achieve high efficiency. Continue to implement administrative reform, judicial reform; innovate litigation in court in a practical direction. Organize trial sessions to learn from all types of cases, ensuring the target that each judge must conduct at least 1 trial session to learn from experience in a year. Seriously and promptly publish all qualified judgments and decisions of the Court on the People's Court's Electronic Information Portal. Organize online trials at Court units in the Cluster. Each unit selects and proposes at least 1 judgment or decision with legal effect to develop precedents.

Along with that, strengthen management and inspection of organizational discipline, expertise, profession and other aspects of work for cadres and civil servants in the unit, fully and promptly implement regimes and policies for cadres, civil servants, employees and People's Jury.

At the same time, promote Party work and mass organization activities in implementing emulation and reward movements, closely and regularly coordinate, and synchronously implement solutions to create breakthroughs in the emulation movement, making the emulation movement increasingly effective and practical.
