With 30km to go, the Vinh Long racers took the initiative to pull the large group to successfully chase the racers in the leading group. The high speed of the Vinh Long racers was maintained as they got closer to the finish line to prevent their opponents from attacking and put the number 1 sprinter Nick Kergozou in a favorable position to launch his signature sprint.
