"I have prepared very well for this final. Since I was a child, I have dreamed of playing in the Champions League final," striker Ousmane Dembele said at a press conference before the historic final between PSG and Inter Milan.
Dembele was a key figure for the Parisian side on their way to the final and has been one of Europe's best players this season with 30 goals in all competitions, including 24 in 18 games between December 2024 and March 2025.

Those performances have helped the French striker become the most promising candidate for this year's Ballon d'Or award. But the player born in 1997 said the opportunity to win the Ballon d'Or will only come if PSG must defeat Inter Milan and win the Champions League for the first time.
"When you are a PSG player, the important thing is to bring home trophies like the Champions League. I focus on the team, not on individual trophies. Winning the Ballon d'Or is my dream, but now I put the collective interest first.
Since January we have really changed our mindset and we want to keep winning and we are very excited about this game. Inter Milan are a great team, they deserve to be in the final. They are physical, they know how to defend, they know how to attack, so we have a strong opponent.
We have to focus on the game, on the team and on ourselves. I hope we can produce a great performance," Dembele expressed optimism ahead of the final.
Dembele has helped fill the void left by Kylian Mbappe when he moved to Real Madrid last summer. Mbappe's departure follows the departure of two other members of PSG's superstar forward trio, Lionel Messi and Neymar.
"Dembele is one of the best players of the season, if not the best in Europe. He scores, passes, fights, defends and that is the true spirit of a leader," coach Luis Enrique praised his favorite student.
Coach Luis Enrique and his team are aiming for the first Champions League title in PSG's history and also the first French team to win the best tournament in Europe after Marseille did it in 1993.
