Da Lat: Behind the road fence, a business arbitrarily blocked the stream leading water to Than Tho Lake.

SGGP Hotline continues to receive complaints from residents living in Ward 12, Da Lat City ( Lam Dong Province) that Thuy Duong Company Limited has brought construction equipment to build a fence across the stream (the main stream leading water to Than Tho Lake, then down to Xuan Huong Lake).

At the scene, many iron stakes were driven deep, blocking the entire upstream stream of Than Tho Lake to prevent garbage from entering the lake.

According to people's feedback, if the stream is blocked like above, when it rains heavily, the garbage flowing from upstream will have no way to escape, the flood drainage will be blocked and cause flooding for gardens and houses in the neighboring area.

It is known that the above stream is about 3.5km long, originating from Thai Phien lake area, flowing through Thai Phien flower village with hundreds of hectares of crops.

After receiving the feedback, the People's Committee of Ward 12, Da Lat City said it would conduct an on-site inspection to handle the matter.

Previously, this company was also reported to have erected an iron fence over 1 meter high and tens of meters long on the road boundary of Ho Xuan Huong Street (Ward 12). The erection of the fence not only occupied public space but also pushed trash bins onto the road, obstructing traffic and causing public outrage.
