During this period, the city arranged for 92 households who are revolutionary contributors to rent apartments at the Social Housing Apartment Building on Vu Mong Nguyen Street (Ngu Hanh Son Ward).
Speaking at the ceremony, Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet emphasized that the arrangement of renting apartments for people with revolutionary contributions is a meaningful activity, demonstrating the traditional morality of "remembering the source of water when drinking water" of our nation. The work of "repaying gratitude" has always received due attention from the Party Committee, government and people of the city.
Over the years, the city has always identified social security policies and taking care of the material and spiritual lives of policy beneficiaries and people with revolutionary contributions as a central and continuous task.
With the view of "leaving no one behind", the city has synchronously implemented many programs and projects to support housing for policy households, especially those with difficult living conditions such as: support for repairing and building new houses, arranging social housing rental... helping households with revolutionary contributions to stabilize their lives.
In particular, the city has implemented a project to build social housing complexes to provide housing for people with meritorious services and those in difficult housing circumstances, with a specific roadmap.
“The Vu Mong Nguyen social housing apartment building for people with meritorious services to the revolution is a specific result of phase 1 of the Project on building social housing areas for families with meritorious services to the revolution who have housing difficulties in the city in the period of 2021 - 2025, invested in construction from the city budget. The project not only focuses on the quality of the project but also ensures infrastructure, living environment, safety and amenities, clearly demonstrating the city's respect, gratitude and thoughtful care for policy households”.

According to the Chairman of the City People's Committee, the arrangement of renting apartments for families with preferential policies aims to continue to effectively implement the policies of the Party, the State, and the city on taking care of people with revolutionary contributions through practical actions.
In the past, Da Nang city and Quang Nam province (old) as well as Da Nang city now have completed the construction and repair of 2,938 houses for policy families; of which 910 houses were newly built, completed before the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27). The city will continue to implement the Project to build social housing areas to arrange for people with meritorious services to the revolution and people in difficult circumstances who need housing.
According to the Department of Construction, the social housing for people with meritorious services to the revolution on Vu Mong Nguyen Street belongs to phase 1 of the Project to build social housing areas for families with meritorious services to the revolution with housing difficulties in the city in the period of 2021 - 2025 approved by the People's Committee of Da Nang City in Decision No. 4669/QD-UBND dated December 3, 2020.
The project is deployed on a land area of 3,122 m2 on Vu Mong Nguyen Street, Ngu Hanh Son Ward, scale of 1 apartment building with 12 floors + 1 basement + attic. Number of houses: 209 apartments. Apartment area: 65m2 , 67.8m2 , 68.6m2 , 77m2 . Utilities include: kindergarten, service area, sports club. Total investment is more than 223 billion VND. The project started construction on December 28, 2022.
The City People's Committee has directed the Department of Construction to review and advise on the second approval plan for social housing rental at the Social Apartment Building for people with revolutionary contributions on Vu Mong Nguyen Street.
