Da Nang forms 15 new party committees in a streamlined and efficient direction

According to the new project, Da Nang City will reorganize 47 Party Committees of wards, communes and Hoang Sa island district into 15 Party Committees of wards, communes and 1 Party cell of Hoang Sa Special Zone. The reorganization will be carried out synchronously with the policy of reorganizing commune-level administrative units, in accordance with the Central Resolution and the city's sustainable urban development orientation.

Specifically, many new party units will be formed on the basis of merging wards and communes with adjacent geographical locations. Hai Chau Ward Party Committee will include 5 existing wards: Thanh Binh, Thuan Phuoc, Thach Thang, Hai Chau and Phuoc Ninh; Hoa Cuong Ward Party Committee will be formed from Binh Thuan, Hoa Thuan Tay, Hoa Cuong Bac and Hoa Cuong Nam wards; Thanh Khe Ward Party Committee will include the merger of Xuan Ha, Chinh Gian, Thac Gian, Thanh Khe Dong and Thanh Khe Tay wards; An Khe Ward Party Committee will include An Khe, Hoa An and Hoa Phat wards; An Hai Ward Party Committee will include Phuoc My, An Hai Bac and An Hai Nam wards; Son Tra Ward Party Committee will include Tho Quang, Nai Hien Dong and Man Thai wards;

The Party Committee of Ngu Hanh Son Ward merged My An, Khue My, Hoa Hai, Hoa Quy Wards; the Party Committee of Hoa Khanh Ward included Hoa Khanh Nam Ward, Hoa Minh Ward and Hoa Son Commune; the Party Committee of Lien Chieu Ward included Hoa Khanh Bac Ward and Hoa Lien Commune; the Party Committee of Hai Van Ward included Hoa Hiep Bac Ward, Hoa Hiep Nam Ward and Hoa Bac Commune; the Party Committee of Cam Le Ward merged Hoa Tho Tay, Hoa Tho Dong, Khue Trung Wards; the Party Committee of Hoa Xuan Ward included Hoa Xuan Ward, Hoa Phuoc Commune and Hoa Chau Commune; the Party Committee of Hoa Vang Commune included Hoa Phong and Hoa Phu Communes; the Party Committee of Hoa Tien Commune included Hoa Tien and Hoa Khuong Communes; the Party Committee of Ba Na Commune included Hoa Ninh and Hoa Nhon Communes.

In particular, the Hoang Sa Special Zone Party Cell will be directly under the Party Committee of the Department of Home Affairs, ensuring compliance with the specific administrative management model. After the reorganization, the entire city of Da Nang will have 16 commune-level administrative units remaining, including 12 wards, 3 communes and 1 special administrative zone.

Previously, on April 23, the City Party Executive Committee agreed on the policy of adjusting the number of commune-level administrative units. The arrangement aims to streamline the apparatus, avoid overlapping functions, improve the effectiveness of the Party's leadership and direction, and at the same time create favorable conditions for providing public administrative services to the people.
