Results of 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW on 'Promoting studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle' in Uncle Ho's homeland

Speaking at the Conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Hoa - Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department affirmed: Over the past 10 years, the implementation of Directive No. 05-CT/TW has become an important and consistent content in the work of Party building and the political system, closely linked with the implementation of the Central Resolutions on Party building and rectification and the political tasks of localities, agencies and units.

With a proactive, creative, serious and flexible spirit, the whole province has achieved many outstanding results. Through practice, many good models, effective methods, and outstanding collective and individual examples have emerged, creating a great influence in the community.

The achievements are vivid evidence of the correctness of learning from Uncle Ho - following Uncle Ho - living like Uncle Ho, vividly demonstrating the special feelings and deep gratitude of the Party Committee, government and people of the province towards the outstanding son of the nation - the great President Ho Chi Minh .

After 10 years of implementing Directive No. 05, studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle in Nghe An has achieved many important, comprehensive and substantive results.

In the period 2013-2023, the whole province had 1,087 students winning national excellent student awards, many of them won international awards. In movements and campaigns for the community, the spirit of mutual love, affection and solidarity of Nghe people was strongly promoted.

In particular, in the prevention and fight against the COVID-19 epidemic, the whole province has raised over 65.5 billion VND, ranking third in the country, after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi - clearly demonstrating the identity of "Nghe An culture" in practice.

With 83% of the area being ethnic minority and mountainous areas, nearly 1.2 million people living in these areas, the Provincial Party Committee has presided over the compilation and publication of the document "Nghe An ethnic minorities study and follow Uncle Ho" transferring the book's content into many multimedia forms such as: e-books, audiobooks, podcasts, recordings in Mong and Thai languages... to help people in remote areas easily access, thereby spreading the study and follow of Uncle Ho in accordance with the conditions, culture and language specific to each locality.

All levels, sectors and localities simultaneously built models suitable to the specific characteristics of each unit, notably: 136 bright spots implementing grassroots democracy regulations, 135 bright spots of government mass mobilization, more than 180 administrative reform models at commune-level police, maintaining 3,973 "skillful mass mobilization" models, building and recognizing 4,460 new models in various fields throughout the province.

One of the typical highlights in implementing Directive No. 05-CT/TW in Nghe An is the association of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style with patriotic emulation movements, especially the movement "Nghe An joins hands for the poor - No one is left behind". Nghe An Provincial Party Committee has launched the "Program to support, build and repair houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances in the period 2023-2025".

Nghe An has become one of the leading localities in the country in the movement to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. The whole province has mobilized the construction and repair of 15,246 houses (of which 11,157 were newly built and 4,089 were repaired), contributing practically to improving people's lives and strengthening trust in the Party's leadership.

The program "Tet for the poor" continues to be effective, strongly spreading the tradition of charity. Over the past 12 years, the whole province has mobilized more than 873 billion VND to take care of Tet for poor households. On the occasion of Tet Giap Thin 2024 alone, the whole province gave gifts to more than 132,000 poor, near-poor households and policy beneficiaries...

8 collectives and 6 individuals were awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee for their outstanding achievements in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style" in 2025.

On this occasion, Nghe An Provincial Party Committee awarded Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Party Standing Committee to 10 collectives and 10 individuals with outstanding achievements in advising and directing the implementation of Directive 05 over the past 10 years.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee also awarded Certificates of Merit from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to 8 collectives and 6 individuals for their outstanding achievements in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle" in 2025.
