Da Nang promotes tourism for the first time at KITF International Fair in Kazakhstan

(PLVN) - In order to expand the international tourist market and seek opportunities to connect new routes, Da Nang will participate for the first time in the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair (KITF) on April 23-25, 2026, marking an important step in the tourism promotion strategy in the Central Asia region.

In an effort to promote the destination's image and diversify the international market, the Da Nang Department of Tourism said that for the first time, the unit will participate in the Kazakhstan International Tourism Fair (KITF) taking place in Almaty city from April 23 to 25, 2026. KITF is one of the most prestigious and largest tourism events in Central Asia, bringing together hundreds of travel agencies, airlines, and tourism promotion organizations from around the world .

At the fair, the delegation of the Da Nang Department of Tourism introduced many unique tourism products and services, highlighting the strengths of the coastal city in terms of resort, entertainment and culture. In particular, the working sessions between the delegation and the Vietnamese Embassy in Kazakhstan, travel agencies, airlines and potential partners opened up opportunities to promote direct flights from Kazakhstan to Da Nang, promising to increase the number of visitors from Central Asia.

The Da Nang Department of Tourism has also coordinated with businesses to develop suitable tourism service packages, and prepared publications and promotional videos in Russian to reach out more effectively to tourists in this region. Promotional programs were introduced within the framework of the fair and at meetings with more than 800 international travel companies.

Charter flights connecting Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan with Da Nang are being actively exploited with a total frequency of more than 10 flights/week, contributing to bringing the number of CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) visitors to Da Nang to an expected number of about 10,000 per month.

Participating in KITF 2026 not only demonstrates Da Nang's efforts to expand the international tourist market but also affirms the city's determination in the strategy of recovering and sustainably developing the post-pandemic tourism industry.
