Da Nang calls for investment in luxury vehicles for waterway tourism

The call for investment is part of the 2025 socio -economic development program and plan of the construction industry, while continuing to implement the Plan for developing inland waterway passenger transport in Da Nang city until 2025, with a vision to 2030.

Conditions for newly built vehicles participating in passenger transport business activities in the city according to the provisions of Decision No. 3273/QD-UBND dated December 19, 2022 of the People's Committee of Da Nang City.

Inland waterway passenger transport business units shall prepare business plans and send them to the Department of Construction for inspection and reporting to the City People's Committee (according to the provisions of Clauses 1 and 2, Section III of the Inland Waterway Passenger Transport Development Plan in Da Nang City to 2025, with a vision to 2030, issued under Decision No. 3273/QD-UBND dated December 19, 2022 of the Da Nang City People's Committee).

The business plan clearly states the type of transportation business (according to Decree No. 110/2014/ND-CP dated November 20, 2014 of the Government , amended and supplemented by Decree No. 128/2018/ND-CP dated September 24, 2018); the scope of operation of the vehicle; the vehicle anchoring plan; the port, departure wharf and final destination; the time for investment in building the new vehicle; general explanation of the vehicle; written agreement or contract with the port management unit, inland waterway wharf for the vehicle to pick up and drop off passengers.

After the transport business unit ensures the above conditions, the Department of Construction will report and propose to the City People's Committee to consider and agree on the policy.

Finally, the investment business unit shall invest in vehicles, install equipment and carry out procedures related to inspection, registration, crew rostering according to current regulations and submit the application for inland waterway passenger transport signs and badges to the Department of Construction according to regulations.

The Department of Construction will facilitate and guide investors interested in investing in luxury and modern inland waterway vehicles to operate waterway passenger transport business in the city, contributing to promoting tourism development.
