Da Nang closely monitors the COVID-19 epidemic situation

Da Nang City has implemented strict measures to control the COVID-19 epidemic, ready to respond and protect the community from the developments of the epidemic.

Faced with the recent increasing trend of COVID-19 cases nationwide, the Da Nang City Center for Disease Control has implemented many solutions to prevent, control and control the situation, and prevent the disease from recurring.

Mr. Nguyen Dai Vinh, Director of the Center for Disease Control of Da Nang City, said that in order to control the COVID-19 epidemic situation, the unit requested district and commune health centers to proactively monitor, closely monitor, assess the risk level of COVID-19 epidemic in the area, deploy appropriate epidemic prevention and control measures; and be ready to respond to possible epidemic situations.

District and county health centers promote the role of Population-Health-Children collaborators, residential groups and other local forces to carry out communication, monitoring and early detection work; mobilize forces of departments, branches, unions and social organizations to participate in the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic.

District and county health centers monitor and inspect the implementation of COVID-19 prevention and control measures by agencies, units, facilities and services in the area; strengthen proactive monitoring measures, event-based monitoring, monitoring of severe pneumonia cases suspected to be caused by viruses... to promptly detect, localize, promptly and effectively handle suspected/infected COVID-19 cases...

Medical examination and treatment facilities in the area must fully report COVID-19 cases on the Infectious Disease Surveillance Management System.

The City Center for Disease Control regularly updates information on the epidemic situation and recommends that people comply with COVID-19 prevention and control requirements at the Fanpage "CDC Da Nang - Epidemic Prevention Community" on Facebook.

Previously, the Department of Health of Da Nang City issued an official dispatch requesting agencies and units to proactively monitor the situation of the COVID-19 epidemic, other infectious diseases at home and abroad; recommendations of the Ministry of Health , Department of Health, central and local professional agencies on official information channels to actively implement measures to improve and protect the health of themselves, their families and those around them at work, accommodation and in the community.

At the same time, the Department recommends that people wear masks in public places, on public transport, at medical facilities; wash hands regularly with clean water, soap or antiseptic solution; limit gathering in crowded places if not necessary; increase physical activity, physical training, proper nutrition; and monitor health.

People should go to a medical facility immediately if they have symptoms of fever, cough, or difficulty breathing. People coming to and returning from countries with a high number of COVID-19 cases should proactively monitor their health to prevent and control the disease.

Medical examination and treatment facilities and medical centers are ready with plans to admit and treat patients and proactively improve treatment capacity, especially emergency and intensive care capacity to meet treatment requirements; ensure logistics, funding, medicines, supplies, chemicals, equipment, and human resources to serve the work of preventing and fighting the COVID-19 epidemic...

According to the Ministry of Health's Infectious Disease Surveillance Management System, as of 11:00 a.m. on May 22, Da Nang city recorded 13 COVID-19 cases; of which 12 cases were recorded from May 19-22 (4 inpatients, 8 outpatients), no outbreaks have been recorded and no severe cases have been reported. It is forecasted that in the coming time, Da Nang may record more new cases, especially during the peak summer tourist season./.
