On May 24, Mr. Tran Xuan Hung, team leader in charge of the fireworks stage construction team for the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival - DIFF 2023, said that the construction of the stage structure has reached 95%, only the remaining decoration needs to be completed for load testing and acceptance for use.
The area of this year's DIFF stage is 1,050 m2, located on the east bank of the Han River - the riverside campus of Tran Hung Dao Street. The total length of the stage is 62m, 22m wide. This year's grandstand has a capacity of more than 5,000 seats, with 3 subdivisions with 8 areas, a total area of about 9,500 m2.
Stage construction work has reached 95%.
To ensure the requirements set by the stage design department, the construction team created a specially designed hydraulic lifting system with an automated mechanism. The stage structure was constructed partly over the river and partly on the shore, so the design and construction work required high precision.
Talking about the special features of the DIFF 2023 stage compared to previous years, Mr. Hung added: “In addition to the special design with one part on the shore and one part extending out to the river, this year's stage has a lifting light frame and modern LED laser effect technology, which can be raised and lowered at an angle of 87 degrees, to provide the best views of the entire fireworks area.”
Mr. Le Trung Chinh, Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City, after a survey, visit and encouragement of the DIFF stage construction team on the afternoon of May 19, said that all preparations were ready: "After 3 years of not organizing DIFF, the city will certainly encounter certain difficulties, but thanks to the city's determination, up to this point all preparations are ready. I think everything will ensure the proposed plan. Hopefully the opening night on June 2 will take place successfully."
