Congress of the Association of Vietnamese Photographers in Thai Binh province, term 2024

(NADS) - On December 14, at the Thai Binh Provincial Literature and Arts Association, the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists of Thai Binh Province held the Congress for the 2024 - 2029 term. Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists attended and directed the Congress.

Delegates attending the Congress also included Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province; Artist Ha Huu Duc, member of the Executive Committee, Director of the Vietnam Art Photography Archives and Exhibition Center; leaders of the Provincial Literature and Arts Association and the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations , President of the Association of Photographic Artists presented flowers to congratulate the Congress.

The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists in Thai Binh province has 9 members. In the 2019 - 2024 term, the Association has implemented many effective activities, focusing on creating hundreds of works on the themes of life, people, and natural landscapes of the lands inside and outside the province. The Association organized a photo exhibition with the theme "Country and people of Vietnam" sponsored by the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists. During the term, the Association was twice awarded certificates of merit for its outstanding achievements in the photography movement. Hundreds of works by members were displayed, winning gold, silver, and bronze medals at domestic and international exhibitions and competitions. In the 2024 - 2029 term, the Association continues to improve its organization, recruit more members, organize photo exhibitions well; create conditions for members to participate in creative camps, etc.

Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists, delivered a speech at the Congress.

Delegates vote to elect the Executive Committee for the new term.

The Congress elected a new Executive Committee of 2 members and delegates to attend the Congress of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists.

Mr. Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of Thai Nguyen Provincial People's Committee spoke at the Congress.

Speaking at the congress, comrade Pham Van Nghiem, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee highly appreciated and congratulated the results achieved by the photographers in the Association, agreeing with the tasks set out by the Association in the coming term.

He suggested that in the coming time, the Association should continue to maintain good operational efficiency. On the occasion of the 135th anniversary of the province's founding (March 21, 1890 - March 21, 2025), he hoped that the Association would organize practical activities to spread the beauty of Thai Binh land and people to the public inside and outside the province. Artworks should closely follow the reality of life, contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

The association organized an exhibition of outstanding artistic photography works by its members.
