Long An strengthens cooperation and supports Korean enterprises

(PLVN) - The delegation of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KOCHAM), led by Chairman Kim Nyoun Ho, recently visited and worked in Long An province.

Welcoming the delegation were Mr. Pham Tan Hoa - Vice Chairman of Long An Provincial People's Committee, representatives of relevant departments, branches and leaders of Regional Customs Branch XVII.

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Pham Tan Hoa said that Korean enterprises currently rank third in terms of direct investment capital in Long An. He highly appreciated the contributions of Korean enterprises to the socio -economic development of the province, especially in social security activities.

The leader of Long An Provincial People's Committee also affirmed that the province is always ready to support and create the most favorable conditions for Korean enterprises and investors when they come to learn about and invest in Long An. At the same time, he hopes that KOCHAM will continue to be a bridge to help the province attract more Korean enterprises to invest.

Sharing at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Trung Hai - Head of the Regional Customs Branch XVII emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Customs sector and businesses, and affirmed his commitment to accompany and support businesses in import and export activities.

Mr. Nguyen Trung Hai said that the Department always takes people as the center of service and businesses as an important resource to promote economic development, implementing the motto "State creates, takes businesses as the object of service" to create trust and new motivation for the business community.

In 2025, the Region XVII Customs Branch will focus on implementing 6 key tasks related to digital transformation. In addition, the leaders of Region XVII Customs also committed to implementing 6 solutions to accompany Korean enterprises. In particular, the Branch will strictly implement the directions of the Politburo and the General Secretary on reducing time and costs of administrative procedures, abolishing unnecessary business conditions; promoting the effectiveness of the propaganda team, supporting customs declarants and taxpayers; enhancing dialogue and consultation to remove difficulties, helping enterprises understand and comply with customs laws; promoting the application of information technology, reducing direct contact between civil servants and enterprises; coordinating information collection to serve the assessment of declaration flow; and regularly checking civil service discipline, receiving feedback via the 24/7 hotline.

These tasks and solutions aim to build a transparent and favorable import-export environment, creating the best conditions for business development, while improving the effectiveness of state management of the Customs sector in the context of increasingly deep international economic integration.

Before these exchanges, KOCHAM Chairman Kim Nyoun Ho expressed his gratitude for the thoughtful reception of Long An province and pledged to continue to introduce and connect Korean businesses and investors to explore investment opportunities in Long An.

He also pointed out some difficulties and problems that Korean enterprises are facing when investing in the province and hoped to receive attention and support from relevant departments and agencies. KOCHAM's opinions and recommendations will be received, coordinated and resolved by Long An's departments and agencies in the coming time to create a favorable and effective investment environment for enterprises, contributing to promoting local economic development.
