The Central Party Congress of the Public Security took place from October 3 to October 5.

The 8th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security for the 2025-2030 term will take place over 3 days, from October 3 to October 5, a time of special importance.

On the afternoon of September 30, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to provide information about the 8th Congress of the Central Public Security Party Committee, term 2025 - 2030.

Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, Chief of the Office of the Central Public Security Party Committee, Chief of the Ministry Office, Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security chaired the press conference. Also attending were leaders of the Ministry of Public Security's professional departments and reporters from central newspapers and radio stations.

According to the Ministry of Public Security, the 8th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security for the 2025-2030 term takes place at a time of special importance, as the country stands on the threshold of a new era of development.

With the motto "Solidarity, democracy, discipline, responsibility, breakthrough, efficiency", the Congress demonstrates the Party's aspiration and responsibility to continue promoting the 80-year tradition of building, fighting and growing of the heroic People's Public Security force, firmly protecting national security, creating positive changes in social order, participating in creating and developing the country to achieve the goal of 100 years of Party establishment, 100 years of Country establishment.

Speaking at the press conference, Major General Nguyen Quoc Toan, Chief of Office and Spokesperson of the Ministry of Public Security, said: "Up to this point, the Politburo has listened to reports and given opinions on the preparations for the Congress. The Politburo highly appreciated and acknowledged the serious and thorough preparations of the Central Public Security Party Committee, and at the same time agreed on the policy of organizing the 8th Central Public Security Party Congress, term 2025-2030."

Accordingly, the Congress will take place over 3 days, from the afternoon of October 3 to October 5, 2025, at the Great Hall, Headquarters of the Ministry of Public Security, No. 96 Nguyen Du, Cua Nam Ward, Hanoi City. Attending the Congress are 350 delegates, including 24 ex-officio delegates and 326 delegates elected from party committees under the Central Public Security Party Committee.

The Congress took place with the theme "Following Uncle Ho's teachings - Renewing thinking - Improving knowledge - Formalism, modernity - For the Party, for the people". Documents submitted to the Congress included the Political Report, the Review Report of the 7th Central Public Security Party Committee, the draft Resolution and Action Program to implement the Congress Resolution, and drafts of the Congress's Regulations and Work Program.

The Congress has the task of reviewing the implementation of the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security, term 2020-2025; deciding on the direction, goals and tasks of the Party Committee for the term 2025-2030; reviewing the leadership and direction of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security for the term 2020-2025; discussing and contributing opinions to the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and electing the Delegation of the Central Party Committee of the Public Security to attend the 14th National Party Congress.
