The 1st Congress of the Women's Union of Van Chan Commune, term 2025 - 2030

On October 24, the Women's Union of Van Chan commune held its first Congress of delegates for the 2025-2030 term.

From 2021 to now, the Women's Union of Van Chan commune has always paid attention to improving the quality of activities, diversifying the forms of gathering to attract women to participate in the organization of the Union. Thanks to that, the Union has admitted 310 members, bringing the total number of members in the whole commune to 3,568 people, and admitted 48 honorary members who are leaders, cadres, civil servants, party cell secretaries, and village heads. Up to now, each union has built at least 1 model of gathering specific women who are difficult to gather in the locality, and established 2 groups of "elderly women participating in union activities" with 48 members.

In the period of 2021 - 2025, the Women's Union of Van Chan commune coordinated with specialized agencies to transfer science and technology, and mobilize members to participate in key local economic development programs. The Union organized 15 training courses for 450 members, 12 short-term vocational training courses for 240 rural female workers. Coordinated with the Social Policy Bank to provide loans of over 30 billion VND to 496 households through 14 loan groups; mobilized members to deposit savings periodically, reaching more than 1 billion VND to date. The above activities have helped 134 households escape poverty, supported 3 business households owned by women, maintained 1 cooperative and established 19 cooperative groups.

Implementing the campaign "Building a family of 5 no, 3 clean", the Women's Union of Van Chan commune organized more than 80 propaganda sessions for over 3,450 cadres and members on 8 criteria associated with new rural construction. As a result, 3,980 households met the 8 criteria of "5 no, 3 clean". The Union maintained 31 self-management groups for environmental sanitation in 31/39 branches, 36 mediation groups with the participation of women; at the same time, coordinated with the Fatherland Front and organizations to mobilize people to donate 7,000 m² of land to open roads.

For the 2025 - 2030 term, the Women's Union of Van Chan commune set out 16 main targets, including the following key objectives: each year, build at least one model for emulation movements, economic development, and digital transformation; by 2030, 100% of cadres, members, and women aged 18 and over will be equipped with basic digital skills, have a level 2 electronic identification account, 90% will use online public services; annually provide consultation, support, vocational training, and job referrals for 30 female workers.

The Congress identified two breakthroughs: “Comprehensive digital transformation in the Union organization, accompanying women to improve digital capacity” and “Promoting women to start businesses, innovate, and get rich legitimately”. At the same time, it proposed five key tasks: supporting women to develop comprehensively, build happy families; promote gender equality; participate in building a strong Party and government; develop members, build a strong Union organization; promote the role of women in people's foreign affairs.

The Congress announced the decision to appoint comrade Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet to hold the position of President of the Women's Union of Van Chan commune for the 2025-2030 term; at the same time, appointed the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Inspection Committee and delegates to attend the higher-level congress.
