“Revolutionary songs that have been around for years carry a lot of historical significance. By singing and combining new arrangements, the Oplus group has created a wonderful spread. Oplus's music project #VN1945 introduces 7 songs, including 5 famous songs: National Guard (Phan Huynh Dieu), The sound of pestles on Soc Bom Bo (Xuan Hong), Love song (Hoang Viet), Far away island (The Song), Ho Chi Minh song (Ewan MacColl, Vietnamese lyrics by Phu An). In which, National Guard is sung in Acapella style.
The two new songs in the opening project were composed by Oplus members themselves, namely "The Lac Hong Warriors" and "The One Who Is the Light" . "OPlus will continue to expand the project with the next famous songs or new songs with the mission of spreading to the audience and young artists and cultural workers" - Oplus group leader expressed.
The connection of the #VN1945 project is not only music, but also the project's identity is based on the idea of a postage stamp - once a symbol of the communication line, taking the milestone from 1945, the year of the successful August Revolution.
“The #VN1945 project was built by Oplus as a time-traveling postal system, where each song is a "historical parcel" carrying the nation's memories. When opening the album, the audience feels like they are opening a letter with a postmark from 1945 - a message from the past to the present'' - singer Quang Minh, representative of the Oplus group shared.
Responding to VietNamNet's question about the cost of making #VN1945 , singer Quang Minh - Leader of Oplus said that they did not have a specific plan but the motto of all 4 boys was "go with it and the production cost was mainly done by the group themselves with the support of many colleagues including National Defense Television".
Not only performing artists, through the new music project, the OPlus group with 4 members all born in 1988 and 1989 wants to convey the message that red music does not only belong to the past but also represents passionate patriotism and any generation will be proud and happy to listen to it.
