(CLO) With 75% of votes in favor, Vietnam Television (VTV) was re-elected as a member of the Executive Council of the Asia- Pacific Broadcasting Union (ABU) for the 2025-2027 term.
Accordingly, on October 29, the 61st ABU General Assembly hosted by Turkish Radio and Television (TRT) took place, with the theme "Connecting AI, Media and Society".
The ABU Secretary General sent a letter of congratulations to VTV for achieving 75% of the consensus votes of the Association's members, through the online election, conducted from September 16 to 30, 2024.

With 75% of the votes in agreement, VTV was re-elected as a member of the ABU Executive Council for the 2025-2027 term. This is the fourth consecutive term that VTV has been elected as a member of the ABU Executive Council.
This re-election of VTV will be officially announced by ABU at a closed session taking place within the framework of the 61st ABU General Assembly in Istanbul - Türkiye.
