Dak Lak welcomes 130,000 tourists on the occasion of National Day September 2

On the afternoon of September 3, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu said that during the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2, from August 31 to September 3, Dak Lak province welcomed about 130,000 tourists, an increase of 168.04% over the same period in 2023. Of which, international visitors are estimated at 2,500, an increase of 194.12% over the same period in 2023.

Activities taking place in the 3rd Dak Lak Province Gong Culture Festival in 2024 serve local people and tourists.

Of the number of tourists coming to Dak Lak, the total number of tourists staying is estimated at 75,000, an increase of 188.46% over the same period in 2023; the average room occupancy rate of accommodation establishments is 70%. Dak Lak 's total tourism revenue this time is 85 billion VND, an increase of 158% over the same period in 2023.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province, the number of tourists coming to Dak Lak during this year's National Day holiday increased sharply thanks to the cool weather, favorable for recreational activities and exploration.

A large number of people and tourists came to enjoy and learn about the traditional culture of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands during the 3rd Dak Lak Province Gong Culture Festival in 2024.

Especially during the holidays, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province organized the 3rd Gong Culture Festival in 2024 on August 31 and September 1, attracting nearly 600 artisans and mass actors from troupes from 13 districts, towns and cities in the province to attend.

The festival took place at two locations: Ako Dhong Community Tourism Village, Tan Loi Ward and Kotam Community Ecotourism Area, Ea Tu Commune, Buon Ma Thuot City, to create favorable conditions for people and tourists to participate in entertainment, enjoy and learn about the unique traditional culture of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands, especially gong culture.

Also on this occasion, Krong Pac district organized the 2nd Krong Pac Durian Festival in 2024 with the theme "Krong Pac durian - development and integration".

This is the second time Krong Pac district has organized the Durian Festival with the aim of promoting the image of the homeland, people, and development potential of the district to domestic and foreign tourists.

Thereby, introducing the district's unique products, contributing to promoting economic and tourism development in the area; honoring the economic values ​​from high-quality specialty crops, especially durian.

This year's Durian Festival of Krong Pac district has many rich, diverse and attractive activities such as: Fair to introduce OCOP products and potential local agriculture with more than 400 booths of organizations, businesses, cooperatives from localities, businesses inside and outside the province.

Although the number of tourists coming to Dak Lak during the National Day holiday on September 2 increased sharply, most of the tourist areas, attractions and accommodation facilities in the province have made the best preparations in terms of human resources, actively renovated and upgraded infrastructure, created beautiful landscapes and green spaces; at the same time, implemented the construction of new products and incentive programs to serve the increasing needs of tourists.
