To ensure safety in fire prevention and fighting, especially during the hot season and the holidays of April 30 and May 1, 2024, recently, I have invested in installing an emergency staircase system, a fire alarm system, automatic smoke alarms and 14 mini fire extinguishers placed in easy-to-see and easy-to-reach places in the house. For guests staying, they must comply with the regulations of no smoking, no irons in the rooms, and safe use of electrical equipment. Since the beginning of 2024, my family has been inspected twice by the authorities to ensure fire prevention and fighting safety.

Major Pham Van Bien, Deputy Captain of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Team, Sa Pa Town Police added: Sa Pa Town is a National Tourist Area with 1,668 accommodation service businesses and thousands of restaurants and houses combined with service businesses, festival activities take place all year round, so fire and explosion prevention and fighting work is always a top priority. To carry out this work, from the beginning of 2024 up to now, Sa Pa Town Police has directed to step up propaganda; consolidate, improve and maintain the activities of 111 civil defense teams, with 1,350 members in villages and residential groups; successfully organized 3 training courses on fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue for grassroots fire prevention and rescue forces, and issued 290 certificates of training in fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue.

Sa Pa Town Police also guided and periodically inspected fire prevention and fighting safety and made records 927 times for management facilities in the area (of which the Commune People's Committee inspected 804 times, the Town Police inspected 123 times). In particular, Sa Pa, Ham Rong, Phan Si Pang, and Sa Pa wards organized 6 practice sessions, rehearsing fire fighting and rescue plans, contributing to improving fire fighting and rescue skills for the forces and people in the area.

To ensure fire and explosion prevention and control safety during the hot season and the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, not only at Sa Pa National Tourist Area, but also in other localities with tourist areas and attractions that are also crowded with visitors, propaganda work, raising awareness and consciousness of people and tourists are also of interest.

Captain Hoang Truong Giang, Deputy Chief of Bao Ha Commune Police, said: In the past time, the Commune Police have established records to monitor and manage fire prevention and fighting for 196/196 business and service establishments in the area; conducted fire and explosion safety inspections for 72 business establishments and 1,760 households. Currently, the whole commune has 415 households equipped with mini fire extinguishers, concentrated in central villages such as Bao Vinh, Lam San, Lien Ha 2, Lien Ha 4. The commune has well maintained 6 inter-family safety groups for fire prevention and fighting and 2 public fire fighting points. Thanks to good prevention work, there have been no serious fires and explosions in recent years.

In the first 4 months of 2024, Bao Ha Temple welcomed about 400,000 visitors from all over to visit and worship. In a place where incense offering and ritual activities take place regularly, with a large number of visitors, there is always a potential risk of fire and explosion. Currently, Bao Ha Temple has equipped an automatic fire warning system in the administrative area of ​​the management board, arranged over 30 mini fire extinguishers in the palaces with many visitors and Buddhists offering offerings, 6 automatic fire extinguishers and installed 64 surveillance cameras inside and outside the temple. Security guards regularly remind visitors not to burn incense inside the temple to ensure safety and prevent fire and explosion.

The Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) is ready with forces and equipment for fire fighting and rescue during the holidays.

According to Lieutenant Colonel Bui Manh Thang, Deputy Head of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police), to ensure fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue safety during the April 30 and May 1 holidays this year, units and police of districts, towns and cities will strengthen propaganda activities; focus on checking fire prevention and fire safety at locations where commemorative activities take place, festivals, cultural and political events take place; facilities with fire and explosion hazards around the areas where commemorative activities are held such as markets, shopping malls, accommodation establishments, karaoke service businesses, industrial parks, small-scale industrial parks, warehouses, households, houses for living combined with production, business, forest fire prevention and fighting...

Along with that, prepare permanent forces and means to ensure fire prevention, fire fighting and rescue in emergency situations; 100% of permanent forces are ready for combat; organize maintenance of fire fighting and rescue vehicles and protective equipment for fire fighting and rescue officers and soldiers; strictly implement the information and periodic and ad hoc reporting regime according to regulations; ensure that 100% of fires, explosions, accidents and incidents must be reported promptly.

According to the direction of the Provincial Police, before April 29, 2024, localities must complete the general inspection, review, and supplement of fire prevention and rescue plans for facilities under management, focusing on carefully inspecting large-scale facilities, crowded with people, and facilities with high fire and explosion hazards.
