Mr. Quach Van Bien - Deputy Director of PC Lai Chau said: The company is performing the task of managing and operating over 440km of 110kV lines; 4 110kV transformer stations, over 4,100km of medium and low voltage lines, nearly 1,400 distribution transformer stations with a total capacity of 135,169 kVA, supplying electricity to nearly 118,000 customers. 2025 is the year of many important political events of the country such as: The 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and the Party Congress at all levels, along with that, the demand for electricity of people will increase dramatically during the hot season. To proactively plan for power supply, from the beginning of 2025, PC Lai Chau has promoted the implementation of investment in anti-overload projects to consolidate the power grid; Allocate capital to invest in renovating, constructing, and installing new power lines and transformer stations; establish optimal operating methods for the power grid system.

In addition, Lai Chau PC organizes inspections of electricity preparation work at affiliated units; directs units to conduct general inspections and review the entire power grid system; establish plans to ensure stable electricity operation during peak hot days and during holidays. Strengthen monitoring and calculation of the load status of each line and station to have measures to change the operation method; balance phases, share loads, replace and rotate transformers; increase wire cross-section, upgrade switching equipment... to avoid overloading when the load increases. At the same time, strengthen the implementation of hotline cleaning on the grid to avoid causing power outages for customers; proactively prepare materials, equipment and backup means to ensure handling of incidents as soon as possible.

Coming to Lai Chau High Voltage Grid Enterprise (PC Lai Chau) these days, we witnessed the urgent working atmosphere of the staff and workers here. Talking to us, Mr. Bac Cam Dung - Director of Lai Chau High Voltage Grid Enterprise said: The unit is managing and operating the 110kV high voltage grid system supplied from the Northern power system, which is an important bridge between the medium voltage grid and the 220kV transmission grid, ensuring power supply for the whole province and connecting the loop with Lao Cai and Dien Bien provinces. The total line length is over 440km with 4 transformer stations in Phong Tho, Than Uyen, Nam Nhun districts and Lai Chau city.

Implementing the Company's directive, the unit has proactively and synchronously deployed solutions to ensure grid safety such as: Clearing the line corridor, adding grounding to the base of the pole at high mountain locations, replacing degraded materials and supplies; implementing the exchange and installation of lightning protection valves for the line to suit the terrain characteristics at high altitudes, in order to improve and promote the effectiveness of the lightning protection system; assigning on-duty staff to proactively handle incidents on the line...

PC Lai Chau currently has 13 departments and 10 affiliated units, the task of ensuring stable power supply for the April 30 - May 1 holiday and the hot season has been actively implemented by the units. Mr. Pham Chien Thang - Director of Muong Te Electricity said: As a unit performing production and business tasks in the border district with the longest and most extensive power grid system in the province, the power grid must pass through many complex terrains with high mountains, deep ravines, and dense forests. To perform well the assigned tasks, the unit organizes periodic testing to promptly detect and handle switching and protection devices on power lines and transformer stations to ensure operation.

At the same time, coordinate with authorities at all levels, agencies, and mass organizations to propagate people to actively participate in protecting the safety of the power grid; coordinate to organize the clearing of corridors in areas where the power grid passes through. In particular, the unit has promoted propaganda and guided customers to use electricity economically such as: Installing energy-saving devices, using LED products to replace lighting devices that consume a lot of electricity; installing rooftop solar power systems, solar water heaters; turning off electricity-consuming appliances when not needed...

With careful preparation, Lai Chau PC and its affiliated units are always ready for all situations and complicated weather developments, proactively providing electricity to serve the people, meeting the increasing electricity demand of customers during the April 30 - May 1 holiday and especially during the hot season this year.
