Ensuring accurate information on human rights and foreign affairs work

Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Thai Nguyen province chaired and coordinated with the Conference.

Attending the conference were leaders of provincial departments, branches and sectors; representatives of central press agencies; local newspapers and radio stations and reporters of press agencies with representative offices in Thai Nguyen .

At the Conference, delegates were informed of important contents, including: The situation of human rights work in recent times and the propaganda orientation of the Standing Office of the Government Steering Committee on Human Rights; the propaganda orientation on human rights of Thai Nguyen province in the coming time; the work of combating and refuting false information on protecting and promoting human rights in the province; handling information violating the law on social networks and electronics related to human rights and foreign information; implementing the 2025 Foreign Information Plan of the Provincial People's Committee, with 10 key contents.

At the conference, the leader of the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism emphasized a number of key tasks that need to be promoted in the coming time: Foreign information work focuses on promoting the US tax policy; fighting against arguments that distort the Party's policy on the private economy in the new development period; promoting the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification, the 135th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; promoting the prospects for Vietnam's tourism development... In particular, for human rights work, information must be objective and accurate, avoiding sensational headlines; exploiting positive information, contributing to enhancing the national image in building a socialist rule-of-law state; continuing to improve the legal system, reducing the death penalty according to international trends.

The conference contributed to raising awareness of press agencies in reporting on human rights and foreign information, ensuring compliance with the law, contributing to building a positive image of Thai Nguyen province in particular and Vietnam in general in the international arena.
