Dam Rong: Party building work has many positive changes

In 2024, the Dam Rong District Party Committee has well implemented the set goals and tasks and was evaluated and classified by the Provincial Party Standing Committee as having completed its tasks well. With great efforts and determination, the District Party Committee has led and directed the implementation of tasks with positive and quite comprehensive results. The district has 16/18 criteria achieved and exceeded the plan.

The Dam Rong District Party Committee currently has 37 grassroots party organizations (including 11 grassroots party committees with 123 affiliated party cells and 26 grassroots party cells directly under the District Party Committee). The entire Party Committee currently has 1,845 party members. In 2024, Dam Rong achieved remarkable results with the total production value (at comparable prices) reaching 103.3% of the plan, up 10.4% over the same period; total social investment capital reaching 101.8% of the plan, up 5.3% over the same period; agricultural production continues to develop in the direction of applying high technology, smart agriculture, ecological agriculture associated with linking processing and product consumption; forest management and protection work is given attention, directed regularly and resolutely, so the number of violations has decreased compared to the same period; the multidimensional poverty rate is 7% (down 4.63% compared to the end of 2023); 8/8 communes have achieved new rural commune status; national defense and security are maintained...

To successfully achieve the set goals, right from the beginning of the year, in parallel with thoroughly grasping and studying the directives and resolutions of the Central and the province, the Dam Rong District Party Committee has also focused oneducating and propagating in both breadth and depth the important results that the Party Committee and the people of all ethnic groups in the district have achieved after 20 years of the district's establishment. From there, it has encouraged and motivated the spirit of enthusiasm, overcome difficulties, and enhanced the confidence in the leadership of the Party, the effectiveness and efficiency of the State's management of the majority of cadres, party members and people in the area.

Party committees, Party organizations, cadres and Party members shall effectively implement Regulation No. 144 dated May 9, 2024 of the Politburo on "Revolutionary ethical standards of cadres and Party members in the new period", Directive No. 34 dated April 20, 2024 of the Provincial Party Standing Committee "On promoting the sense of responsibility, dynamism, creativity, daring to think and dare to do for the common interests of cadres and Party members, determined to successfully complete the Resolution of the 11th Provincial Party Congress and the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress". Thereby creating profound changes in the awareness and actions of cadres and Party members, especially key leaders at all levels in the district, upholding the sense of responsibility to successfully complete assigned tasks.

In addition, the Dam Rong District Party Committee has also implemented solutions to build a team of cadres that ensures quantity and quality. The Dam Rong District Party Committee also pays special attention to innovation and improvement of the quality of Party activities and Party cell activities, promoting and promoting leadership, education, fighting spirit, and completing assigned tasks well. At the same time, strictly implement inspection and supervision of Party organizations and Party members. During the year, the entire Party Committee disciplined 2 Party organizations and 17 Party members. The consideration and settlement of complaints and denunciations were timely and in accordance with regulations, without leaving complaints pending or prolonged; and resolved a Party disciplinary complaint against 1 Party member.

...direct the development and implementation of internal spending regimes and regulations within the scope and norms prescribed by the State, in order to use funds effectively and economically, avoiding negativity and waste. Regularly direct and organize inspections and checks, especially in some sensitive areas that are prone to negativity and corruption. Direct the declaration of assets and personal income according to the provisions of the Law on Anti-Corruption. Promote the supervisory role of People's Councils at all levels, of the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations, the press and the People in the fight against corruption, negativity and waste.

The work of reviewing, evaluating and classifying the quality of collectives and individuals in the political system in 2024 and at the end of the 2020-2025 term is carried out seriously, ensuring compliance with regulations and true to substance.

With the effective implementation of the above tasks, the trust of cadres, party members and people of all walks of life in the Party and State has been enhanced; they have unanimously participated in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by Party committees, authorities and the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels; thereby contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic, national defense and security, Party building and political system building tasks in 2024.

In addition to the achievements, the Dam Rong District Party Committee also frankly acknowledged the problems that are arising. These include the poor leadership capacity and fighting strength of some Party committees and the poor management of the government; the implementation of working regulations, discipline, order and setting examples in some places is sometimes not strictly implemented and not very effective; the Party building work in the administrative sector has not received due attention. The quality and effectiveness of inspection and supervision work is not high. The role of supervision, social criticism, and giving opinions on Party building and government building of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations sometimes and in some places has not met the requirements.

Clearly recognizing the existing limitations is one of the important bases for the Dam Rong District Party Committee to clearly identify the goals, tasks and solutions for implementation in 2025. According to Dam Rong District Party Committee Secretary Nguyen Van Chau, 2025 is the year of breakthrough, acceleration, reaching the finish line, determined to achieve the highest and best goals and targets of the Resolution of the 4th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025. At the same time, it is the year of Party congresses at all levels, leading up to the 14th National Congress of the Party. The general situation has many opportunities and advantages, but also many difficulties and challenges. In that context, it requires the district Party Committee, government, Fatherland Front and organizations to demonstrate the highest political determination, successfully complete the 2025 targets and tasks, and make an important contribution to successfully implementing the goals and tasks of the entire term, together with Lam Dong province and the country, entering a new era - the era of national growth.
