However, the joy has not been complete for a year because of landslides and subsidence (early 2024). Currently, the water level on the rivers in Tran Van Thoi district is still convenient for vehicles to repair the road. When the rainy season comes (late May, early June), the water level rises, making it more difficult to repair the landslide road.

According to the authorities of Ca Mau province, the main cause of subsidence and landslides in Tran Van Thoi district in recent years is due to the deep canal bottom. In the dry season, the water in the canals decreases, causing the road surface and water surface to be more uneven, the land shrinks, leading to subsidence and landslides.
