Dan Phuong: Firefighting drill at forest product processing village

The firefighting and rescue drill plan mobilized many forces and means to organize at the plywood production workshop of Thang Long Cultural Construction Joint Stock Company, Ho Dien craft village, Lien Trung commune. This is a plywood production and trading facility, with a total land area of about ^700m2 , of which the production workshop area is about ^650m2 .

The drill situation was that at 3:00 p.m. on May 14, 2025, a fire broke out at the plywood factory of Thang Long Cultural Construction Joint Stock Company due to carelessness during the operation of the wood drying chamber. The fire spread to the area where the glue tank was placed, causing an explosion and fire spreading around the factory.

Upon receiving the fire alarm and realizing that the incident was complicated, the Command Information Center (114) urgently mobilized forces and means: Dan Phuong Fire Prevention and Rescue Team, Hoai Duc Fire Prevention and Rescue Team including 1 command vehicle, 2 fire trucks, 1 rescue vehicle, 2 fire pumps and officers and soldiers to quickly arrive at the fire. With the smooth coordination of the forces participating in the exercise, after a short time, the fire was basically controlled.

Previously, on May 13, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Dan Phuong coordinated with local authorities to organize a firefighting, rescue and relief drill, mobilizing many forces and vehicles at the industrial cluster of the craft village in Tan Hoi commune, Dan Phuong district.

According to the representative of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Team of Dan Phuong, the fire fighting and rescue drill with the participation of many forces in the craft village helps raise awareness of the responsibility and importance of fire prevention and fighting for local officials and people; at the same time, evaluate, learn from experience, develop prevention and handling plans suitable to the conditions, means, and human resources of the facility, minimizing damage when a fire or explosion occurs.
