From the beginning of 2025, Gia Lai Provincial Museum launched a statue garden with the theme "Statues and flowers" on an area of over 700m2.

There are about 70 Jrai and Bahnar folk wooden statues on display here, most of which are collected by the unit, the rest are award-winning works at statue carving competitions in the province.

The groups of statues with many themes such as daily activities, honoring family love, motherhood, etc. have shown the creativity, ingenuity as well as the aesthetic concept of the Central Highlands people.

The flowers intertwine and bloom year round, making this area an attractive destination for many people.

After its formation, the sculpture garden harmoniously connects with the previously restored space, which is the restored model of Stor village (To Tung commune, Kbang district, the hometown of Hero Nup) with undulating stilt houses and communal houses built according to the original model, made of bamboo, reed and leaves... along with a statue of the hero from his childhood.

Adding a unique cultural tradition to the overall campus is the work "Tay Nguyen Features" by sculptor Nguyen Nam - member of the Gia Lai Provincial Literature and Arts Association.

This is a cluster of 5 tall wooden pillars carved with beautiful patterns and shapes, imbued with the cultural characteristics of the Central Highlands with activities such as gong beating, rice pounding...

The presence of contemporary visual arts has created a unique cultural and artistic highlight in the Museum's campus, creating opportunities for visitors to experience, relax, and check-in.

Mr. Le Thanh Tuan - Director of the Provincial Museum - said that thanks to owning a beautiful space located right in the city center, the unit always focuses on embellishing the landscape to serve the people, attracting tourists to enjoy and visit the Museum, thereby creating a lively "piece" connecting with the Great Unity Square.

Along with mobilizing artists in the province to send their "brainchildren" to display, the Museum will also rotate the works to always maintain freshness and appeal.
