At exactly 7 o'clock, the "3 explosions" test for new soldiers in Battalion 3 (Regiment 48, Division 320, Corps 34) was conducted. At the position practicing throwing grenades at long range and hitting targets, Private Nguyen Tan Nang (Company 11) was performing the operation of checking and installing the detonator.
Thanks to being equipped with thorough knowledge as well as regular practice, Nguyen Tan Nang confidently performed maneuvers on the battlefield, carrying explosives to the battle line. After he firmly set off the fire and maneuvered back to a safe position, a loud explosion shook the ground. The loudspeaker from the command post announced that Private Nguyen Tan Nang's explosives detonation result was excellent.
Conducting the AK submachine gun shooting test, Sergeant Trinh Xuan Thi (Platoon 10, Company 11) confidently stepped onto the firing line. This is a difficult content in the "3 explosions" test. To hit the target, soldiers must not only master the techniques but also perform basic elements such as: shoulder, cheek, breath holding, trigger pulling and especially "holding the gun steady, not afraid of explosions". After hearing the command, Sergeant Thi skillfully performed the technical movements and shooting positions. As a result, he successfully completed the 3-position shooting content with 9 bullets, all scoring 10 points.

Returning to the experience point after successfully completing the AK submachine gun shooting, Sergeant Thi happily shared: “To shoot well, I always follow the instructions of the unit commander, especially how to take aim. When I have the right aim and hit the target, I calmly and gradually pull the trigger until the bullet goes off.”
Talking to reporters about the results of the "3 explosions" test in the units, Colonel Nguyen Trung Hieu - Division Commander of Division 320 - said: "The Division organized the "3 explosions" test for new soldiers, including the following contents: shooting AK submachine guns, lesson 1 in 3 positions, using explosives, lesson 1 (daytime), and throwing grenades at long distances and hitting targets (daytime).
Shooting is considered the most difficult to achieve, so all units pay close attention to organizing training very carefully, ensuring that soldiers have a firm grasp of theory, are proficient in basic movements, and practice shooting calmly, confidently, and accurately.
After each live-fire segment, the units organized serious and timely experience sharing sessions for soldiers to overcome limitations, especially in adjusting the aiming line to the correct range, direction and points to pay attention to when holding the gun, aiming and breathing, and pulling the trigger to finish the shot accurately, achieving high results.

Thanks to the good training and completion of the "3 explosions" content test for new soldiers in 2025, Division 320 has successfully completed the set plan. Through the test of 12 shooting companies, 2 companies were excellent, 10 companies were fair; 12/12 companies were excellent in explosives; 12/12 companies were excellent in grenade throwing. The entire Division has 2 companies with "3 explosions".
In the last days of May, on the training grounds of new soldier training units, the competitive atmosphere to achieve “3 good explosions” was very exciting. On the “3 explosions” testing ground of Infantry Battalion 50 (Infantry Regiment 991, Provincial Military Command), in a tense atmosphere, each soldier took turns entering his test.
The cry “The test begins” rang out, the soldiers quickly got into position, received bullets and performed AK submachine gun shooting movements in 3 positions. Under the scorching sun at the border, each soldier walked out of the test area with a face beaming with joy. The applause when they learned that their teammates had achieved excellent results made the training ground even more exciting.
Lieutenant Colonel Tran Nam Trung, Battalion Commander of the 50th Infantry Battalion, said: “The “3-explosion” test is one of the most important contents for new soldier training. This is the time to evaluate the actual capacity, confidence and bravery of the soldiers before entering the intensive training phase. Therefore, not only the team of officers participating in the training and unit commanders, but all soldiers strive to achieve the highest results.”
