Dang Anh Tuan: The pioneer in the dark
In the 5th minute at Vinh Stadium, when the round of 16 match of the 2025 - 2026 National Cup had just heated up, midfielder Dang Anh Tuan sowed hope for Da Nang Club with a classy dribble and shot.
He turned and passed the SLNA defender, then delicately "nutted" goalkeeper Van Binh to open the score, opening a thrilling 3-2 victory for the Han River team. That goal was an affirmation that despite the difficulties, Da Nang Club still had a leader to lead the way.
The victory over the reigning National Cup runner-up SLNA helped Da Nang Club advance to the quarter-finals, creating a huge morale boost for the team that is at the bottom of the table after round 11 of V-League 2025 - 2026, possessing a lackluster attack, a constantly suffering defense, and goalkeeper Bui Tien Dung suffering from a long-term injury.

The pressure was on a team that had just undergone a major change in personnel. But in the most tense moments, Anh Tuan's goal lit up the belief: Da Nang Club still had a way to come back.
Conductor Anh Tuan has paved the way for the return of a team that is constantly trying, constantly changing and eager to find joy again after a series of matches without knowing the taste of victory.
At the age of 31, Dang Anh Tuan is a testament to the spirit of continuous improvement. Since his early days playing for Da Nang Club, he has gradually asserted himself through important matches, becoming a solid support for his teammates and now a leader on the field.

Talking about Anh Tuan is talking about perseverance. The player born in 1994 in Lien Chieu (Da Nang) joined the youth academy of Da Nang Club at the age of 12 before being promoted to the first team in 2013. Since then, he has had nearly 200 matches, scored 11 goals and experienced all the ups and downs of the Han River team.
Since he was young, his teammates have called him by the nickname Tuan "Xavi", originating from his technical playing style, ability to keep the rhythm and intelligently escape pressing in the role of conductor in the midfield area.
In the 2025-2026 season, Tuan "Xavi" played 10 matches in the V-League and 2 matches in the National Cup. Not too noisy but persistent, he is the link that keeps the rhythm of the game, always appearing at the right time despite the Achilles injury that once put his career in front of a big challenge.

The most valuable thing about Anh Tuan is not only his way of playing football but also his willingness to stick with the team and his never-give-up spirit. He did not choose to leave the sinking ship when Da Nang FC was relegated, but stayed to revive his hometown team during the most difficult period.
At Da Nang Club, there are 17 new players brought in this season. Anh Tuan is the oldest and clearly shows his role as captain: he is not only the one who creates the play, but also the senior who leads and conveys the spirit of a team with a rich tradition in the Central region.
He helps new recruits integrate, helps the team maintain its identity, helps the club maintain its identity while everything around it changes rapidly.

Da Nang Club is at the bottom of the V-League 2025 - 2026 table, but they certainly will not give up, because they know they can rely on a leader like Dang Anh Tuan - a silent, persistent and responsible example.
