Dang Hong Hai was eliminated from the Korean survival show.

Dang Hong Hai had to stop at the top 48 of the survival show Boys II Planet. This result made many viewers feel regretful.

On the evening of September 4, Mnet officially announced the results of the second qualifying round of Boys II Planet. After this round, only 24 trainees will continue to accompany the program. The results were compiled from the total number of votes from viewers worldwide, according to records, up to more than 14 million votes.

Accordingly, Dang Hong Hai was one of the eliminated trainees. The Vietnamese contestant dropped to 46/48, and had to accept to stop playing. Previously, in the first qualifying round, he ranked 30/48.

Dang Hong Hai's departure surprised and saddened many viewers. On social media, the singer's drop in ranking also caused controversy. Many fans were upset that Hong Hai, despite his good performance, full of energy and effort in each round, had a result far below expectations. However, others said that the result depends on the number of fan votes, so it is not surprising that Vietnamese contestants were at a disadvantage.

Recently, Dang Hong Hai also wrote a handwritten letter expressing his feelings after being eliminated from the Korean survival show: "When I decided to come back, I was very worried, but now looking back, it was really the right choice. Thanks to Boys Planet, I learned a lot, met good friends, and was able to create valuable memories."

He added: "Over the past 2 years, thanks to the fans who have waited and loved me, I have been able to grow up. That makes me truly happy. It is thanks to everyone's support and love that Dang Hong Hai is who he is today."

Dang Hong Hai was born in 2003, from Ben Tre (now Vinh Long), and attracted attention at Mnet's Boys Planet competition broadcast in 2022. After leaving early, he returned confidently in season 2 of the show. Dang Hong Hai is also the only Vietnamese trainee to participate, belonging to the group Boys II Planet C.
