Famous singer Le Uyen collaborates with junior singer

Le Uyen collaborated with Hoai Phu for the first time to sing "Our Swamp" - the song associated with the stage name Le Uyen Phuong of her and her husband.

The artist agreed to work with his juniors to produce an old music album of 10 songs, with Nguyen Ha as music director. Both performed famous songs by musician Phuong including Vung Muc Cua Chung Ta, Uong Nuoc Ben Bo Suoi . The remaining songs were solo versions by Hoai Phu.

Le Uyen met Hoai Phu through the introduction of singer Quang Thanh. The famous singer said she was impressed when she heard her junior confess his love for her husband's music. "It took us four hours to complete two songs on the album. It's been a long time since my husband passed away that I've had someone sing together so well." Le Uyen said.

The famous singer said that her husband still has many songs that have not been released to the public. She has recorded 15 songs, but has not released them yet because she is busy with many other things. She is also completing her memoirs and plans to make a film about her life under the stage name Le Uyen Phuong.

Currently, Le Uyen is still persistently singing, wanting to spread her husband's music to the young. At the age of 72, the famous singer maintains a strong voice by practicing singing and exercising every day. For her, happiness is having the strength to stand on stage, immerse herself in the music and the applause of the audience.

Hoai Phu said he was honored to be able to sing with the voice he admired. At first, the singer was a bit nervous, but quickly regained his composure when Le Uyen guided him on how to sing. He found the lyrics of two songs to read, feel and sing in his own way.

Le Uyen Phuong is the joint stage name of musician Le Minh Lap (1941-1999) and his wife - singer Le Uyen (real name Lam Phuc Anh, born in 1952). They were famous for a series of love songs in Saigon before 1975, such as Nocturne for lovers, Loi goi chan may, Vung swamp cua chung ta, Cho lan cuoi, Hay sit down here, which were warmly received by the audience. Le Uyen Phuong's music is imbued with philosophy but still evokes a sense of closeness about happiness and separation.

Hoai Phu is a singer who is passionate about old music. He was born in 1978, from Dak Lak, studied vocal pedagogy but did not have the opportunity to sing when he was young. He was active in his own group until he accidentally met famous singer Le Uyen in 2022 at a music night. With the support of famous singer and musician Nguyen Ha, he released his first album.
