DNO - On the afternoon of August 23, the Union of Science and Technology Associations of Da Nang City coordinated with the Department of Transport and the Management Board of Priority Infrastructure Investment Projects (BQLDA) to organize a workshop to evaluate the quality of the pre-feasibility study report of the Da Nang railway station relocation project with the participation of representatives of agencies, organizations, professional associations, experts, and scientists.

The Da Nang railway station relocation project is a group A project with a large land area, passing through Thanh Khe, Lien Chieu and Hoa Vang districts, and is implemented from many sources of capital.
Therefore, the work of reviewing the quality of documents for the project's pre-feasibility study report is very necessary, helping to provide more arguments and objective information, helping investors and consultants to complete the documents; at the same time, giving competent authorities more basis to appraise and approve the documents.
The workshop clarified issues on: the need for investment and conditions for implementing the investment in the construction of the Da Nang railway station relocation project; expected objectives, scale, location and form of investment in construction of the project as well as the need for land use and resources for the project; preliminary design plan for construction, explanation, technology, techniques and appropriate equipment of the project.
Experts discussed the expected project implementation time, and also calculated the total investment, capital mobilization plan, capital recovery ability, loan repayment ability, and determined the preliminary socio-economic efficiency as well as assessed the impact of the project.

The comments and suggestions revolve around the following issues: the consulting unit needs to consider adjusting the time; supplement the basis for preparing the pre-feasibility study report; the necessity of investment needs to assess the advantages of investing under the PPP method (public-private partnership), assess the impact of project implementation on the city, the community of residents in the project relocation area and the new construction investment area of the project.
The review of the project's pre-feasibility study report quality is highly practical and has practical content, aiming to improve feasibility, create the best conditions for project realization, and contribute to the sustainable development of Da Nang.
According to the consultant's report, the project relocates all construction items of Da Nang station and the current railway line in the city center to a new location to overcome existing shortcomings and limitations, ensuring the transportation needs of the railway industry until 2030, with a vision to 2050.
The research scope of the railway line has the starting point at Km 750+000 of the Thong Nhat railway route (before Lang Co station); the end point at Km 806+000 of the Thong Nhat railway route (city boundary, after Le Trach station). The length of the line is about 56km, including the Hai Van pass area and the area through Da Nang city including: 5 train-stay stations; 2 intermediate stations; 1 train-set station.
The current status of Da Nang station has 3 functions: freight station, passenger station and technical station. The consulting unit proposed design solutions for relocating Da Nang railway station in phase 1, phase 2...
