149 schools are prioritized for admission by Ho Chi Minh City National University
Ho Chi Minh City National University said it will reserve a maximum of 20% of its total enrollment quota for priority admission. From there, member schools will set their own admission criteria, with quotas ranging from 2 to 25%.
This method is only for candidates who graduated from high school in 2024 and have good conduct for all three years. Regarding academic records, the University of Natural Sciences , Social Sciences and Humanities, and Polytechnics requires candidates from specialized schools to have at least 2 years of excellent grades. If studying at a normal high school, candidates must have excellent grades for all three years.
The remaining schools do not distinguish between specialized and regular programs. Candidates who achieve excellent results in all three years are eligible for admission.
