During the club's launch, visitors experienced many unique cultural activities, learned about the lifestyle and customs of the Tay people, and immersed themselves in the traditional community dance. Ms. Nguyen Thu Thuy from Yen Bai ward shared: "Because I love traditional culture, I came to Mau A to experience the Tay cultural space vividly and fully recreated, from costumes and food to rituals. I hope the local authorities will maintain these activities so that tourists have more opportunities to learn about the land and people here."
Here, the sweet melodies of the then folk songs, the sounds of the tinh lute, and the graceful xoe dances take visitors on an emotional journey of discovery into the spiritual life of the Tay community in Mau A.

The exhibition space showcasing agricultural products and cuisine attracted a large number of visitors, featuring signature dishes such as sticky rice cakes, cassava cakes, sausages, marinated pork, vegetables, banana blossoms, and fern shoots… Each product tells a story of the skillful craftsmanship and simple yet rich cultural identity of the Tay people.
The traditional costume exhibition also left a strong impression. Tay women in Mau A are renowned for their skillful hands, and over time, they have maintained the craft of weaving, meticulously crafting each stitch on indigo-dyed shirts, headscarves, and ceremonial attire.
Ms. Hoang Thi Tuyen from Ngon Ngoi village shared: “As a Tay person, I am deeply moved when I immerse myself in the cultural space of my ethnic group. Traditional costumes hold so much meaning. I hope the younger generation will always be proud and continue to preserve them.”

Another highlight of the Tay cultural space is the reenactment of a traditional wedding ceremony. For the Tay Mau A people, a wedding is not only a significant event for the young couple but also holds meaning for both families, embodying many cultural and historical values.
Traditionally, a wedding ceremony includes rituals such as: the engagement ceremony, the groom's procession, the agreeing on the wedding date; the bride's arrival and departure, and the post-wedding visit. These rituals encompass a treasure trove of culture, behavioral norms, and folk art preserved through generations.
Recreating the wedding ceremony allows club members to practice their culture and provides visitors with an authentic glimpse into the spiritual life of the Tay people. This activity is considered an effective approach to preserving cultural heritage and contributing to promoting Tay cultural identity to tourists.
Mr. Cam Van Duong, Chairman of the Tay Ethnic Culture Preservation Club, said: “We always hope that the younger generation understands and practices the customs and traditions of our ethnic group. The beautiful traditions left by our ancestors need to be preserved and passed on so that they do not fade away over time.”

The establishment of the "Preserving Tay Cultural Identity" Club creates a valuable platform where members can interact, learn, collect, and promote traditional values, while simultaneously fostering pride in their ethnic identity among the younger generation.
Mr. Luu Quang Loi, Vice Chairman of the Mau A Commune People's Committee, said: “In the coming time, the commune will continue to pay attention to implementing the Party and State's guidelines and policies on ethnic affairs, culture, and tourism, creating conditions for the Tay people in particular, and ethnic groups in the area in general, to preserve and promote their cultural identity; directing and guiding the activities of the "Preserving Tay Cultural Identity" Club, focusing on the role of artisans, preserving the language, costumes, and traditional rituals. We also propose including ethnic culture content in the education program so that the younger generation can learn and access it early.”

With the support of the government, the people, and artisans, Mau A is gradually "awakening" the Tay cultural space. The launch of the club is expected to open up more extensive conservation and promotion activities, helping the cultural values of the Tay people in Mau A continue to spread in contemporary life.
