We started our journey from Rach Gia port on a cool morning, when the sun had just risen. The speedboat carrying us cut through the waves, the bow facing the open sea. The feeling of the ocean embracing the boat, the waves gently lapping against the hull created a natural melody. My soul became lighter, leaving behind the hustle and bustle of urban life.

After a short time drifting at sea, Hon Son appeared before our eyes, like a deep blue strip standing out against the turquoise sea. The island is a towering mountain range rising out of the ocean, above is a dense forest, below are pristine beaches. We were amazed by the pristine, somewhat majestic beauty of nature here.

Our first stop was Bai Bang, one of the most famous beaches on the island. The white sand stretches out under the sunlight, the sea is as clear as jade, reflecting the blue sky. What is special here is that you do not see busy restaurants, hotels or crowded shops, but only the sea, sand, and forest - all blending together in silence.

We walked along the beach, listening to the sound of the waves, breathing the fresh air and feeling the cool breeze blowing. In the afternoon, when the sun began to set, the beach became even more charming with the sunset dyeing the vast sea golden. The scene created a beautiful natural picture, it is difficult to describe its peaceful and poetic beauty with words.

Hon Son not only has the sea, but also has high mountains that challenge those who love adventure. Among them, Ma Thien Lanh peak is the place chosen by many tourists for mountain climbing. The peak is more than 450 meters above sea level, covered by gardens and forests, occasionally there are a few ancient trees and forests, you can even see some birds and small animals.

The journey to the top of Ma Thien Lanh was not easy. It took us about two hours to climb uphill, overcome rough roads, sometimes having to hold on to vines or large rocks to keep our balance. But in return, when reaching the top, the whole view of the sea and sky appeared in our eyes - a beautiful picture with the vast blue sea, rolling mountains and small fishing villages lying peacefully at the foot of the mountain.

One of the most interesting experiences when coming to Hon Son is to slow down and immerse yourself in the simple life of the people here. The population on the island is not large, mainly fishermen who make a living by fishing, gardening, and recently, there is also the job of providing tourism services.

We visited a small fishing village where rustic wooden houses were located close together on the beach. The people were hospitable and friendly, willing to share with us stories about life at sea, about long and challenging but also joyful trips at sea.

In the evening, we joined a seafood party right on the beach. The seafood here is fresh and abundant with all kinds of fish, squid, shrimp, crab... All are caught on the same day. Under the warm yellow light, we enjoyed rustic dishes, chatted and watched the sparkling starry sky.

Leaving Hon Son, we carried with us wonderful memories of a wild but charming land. Hon Son is like a rough gem, unpolished but that is why it retains its natural and simple beauty. This is a place that anyone, even if only once, will feel attached and nostalgic.
