Ministry of Public Security supports demolition of dilapidated houses in Yen Bai

NDO - On May 29, in Tan Huong commune, Yen Binh district, Yen Bai province, the Department of Communications (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with Hoa Sen Yen Bai Group to organize a fund-raising event to support the elimination of dilapidated houses for ethnic minorities in the area.

The Department of Communications ( Ministry of Public Security ) in coordination with Hoa Sen Yen Bai Group has awarded 50 million VND to Hoang Thi Viet, born in 1957, Cao Lan ethnic group, residing in Khe Gay village, a single mother whose husband passed away a long time ago. Currently, Ms. Viet lives in a stilt house, built over 40 years ago, which is now dilapidated and needs to be replaced.

In Khe Ma village, units gave 50 million VND to Nong Van Nam's family, born in 1964, Dao ethnic group, who is currently taking care of his mentally ill younger brother who is unable to work.

It is known that in response to the movement "Join hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025", after screening, Yen Bai province has 2,208 houses that need to be eliminated. Of which, the expected support level is 60 million VND/newly built house, 30 million VND/repaired house, the total implementation cost is more than 120 billion VND from the budget and socialized sources.

With the creative approach and strong participation of Party committees and authorities at all levels, up to now, more than 2,200 houses have been started, reaching 99.6% of the plan, of which more than 2,100 houses have been completed, three localities have completed 100% of the target ahead of schedule. The fact that sponsors continue to support poor people to have new homes has contributed significantly to ensuring political security at the grassroots level.

Previously, the Department of Communications (Ministry of Public Security) coordinated with Yen Bai Provincial Police to coordinate propaganda on all aspects of the unit's work, focusing on implementing activities according to the 2-level model; administrative reform, digital transformation, driver testing, network information security, ensuring national and religious security, recovering weapons, explosives, support tools, etc.
