Training medical human resources for the labor market

Aiming to meet the needs of the domestic and foreign labor market, helping students have many job opportunities, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy constantly innovates and integrates, contributing to the task of improving the quality of medical examination and treatment services and specialized health care.

Priority is given to combining schools and institutes.

The leaders of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy said that the school has completed the accreditation of basic university education and training programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training .

Along with that, actively improve the quality of the teaching staff, ensuring the criteria of lecturers with doctoral degrees or higher meeting the standards of higher education institutions according to the regulations of the Ministry.

Dr. Le Thi Thuy, Principal of Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy, said that identifying the combination of school and hospital is the top priority, the school creates close relationships with all hospitals in the city.

Hospitals provide facilities for students to practice and participate in teaching and guiding students in practice.

“The school also cooperates and signs a contract in principle with Hue Central Hospital so that students have more opportunities to practice at specialized medical facilities; to be taught and guided by leading doctors. The school also works closely with specialized hospitals and regional hospitals to diversify disease models as well as the internship environment, helping students consolidate theoretical and practical knowledge and practical experience,” said Dr. Le Thi Thuy.

Up to now, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy has appointed dozens of doctors working at hospitals in and outside the city as permanent staff to participate in developing training programs, teaching and guiding students.

This helps to take advantage of brainpower as well as clinical experience, helping students get closer to their future careers.

Dr. Le Thi Thuy said that with the participation of clinical training from hospital facilities from the central to regional levels, the school becomes a crossroads to help transfer and spread knowledge and experience in clinical examination and treatment to medical staff.

This helps to enhance the requirements for the healthcare network, improve the quality of medical examination and treatment, and move towards specialized healthcare and high-quality medical services.

Expanding job opportunities for students

In addition to admission based on high school graduation exam scores, in recent years, Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy has also recruited a portion of its quota based on high school transcripts and English scores (IELTS certificate) to expand opportunities for candidates.

At the same time, select students with foreign language skills to improve the quality of study, scientific research and opportunities for scholarships to study abroad or work abroad.

Aiming at international integration, Danang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy cooperates with many partners from Northern Europe, Germany, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Thailand, Japan...

Thanks to that, training programs are always updated to meet the requirements of foreign partners.

In particular, students trained from programs with foreign cooperation elements partly ensure the requirements of medical examination and treatment for foreign patients, contributing to medical tourism services.

“Many alumni of the school are recruited by foreign medical facilities and participate in clinical work. These cases, after completing their contracts and returning home, are valuable assets to participate in the international medical service system in Vietnam in general and Da Nang in particular.
