Leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Committee of Ben Tre province and leaders of EVNSPC performed the technical energization ceremony of 110kV projects in Ben Tre on the morning of April 29, 2025.
These are 50 projects symbolizing the 50-year journey of accompanying the development of the South. At the same time, it continues to affirm the core role of EVNSPC in carrying out the mission of "Electricity goes one step ahead" to serve the socio -economic development and people's lives in 21 southern provinces and cities.
4 months - 50 projects
In just 2 days (April 26-27), the last 12 110kV projects out of 50 projects celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification; 50 years of building and developing EVNSPC were successfully energized right before the grand ceremony, completing the Resolution of the Party Committee and the Board of Members of EVNSPC set out at the beginning of the year. This achievement demonstrates the determination and great efforts of the collective leadership, officers and employees of EVNSPC on the journey to fulfill the mission of "Electricity goes one step ahead".
Among those 50 meaningful projects, there are 2 projects that EVNSPC Party Committee registered to welcome the 4th Congress of Vietnam Electricity Group Party Committee (term 2025 - 2030): Cai Rang 110kV Transformer Station and Connection Line ( Can Tho City ); Thanh Binh 110kV Transformer Station and Connection Line (Dong Thap). Both projects were completed ahead of schedule, implemented within 4 - 5 months of construction with a huge amount of work.

Along with that, there are many power supply projects to meet the double-digit growth needs of localities in 2025 and the following years. In particular, in provinces with high growth rates, many industrial parks and clusters have been invested in by the electricity industry, energizing many projects on this occasion. Typically, Binh Duong province has 7 projects; Dong Thap has 6 projects; Ba Ria - Vung Tau has 5 projects; Ben Tre has 4 projects; Binh Phuoc and Tay Ninh each have 3 projects... In which, many projects improve the reliability of power supply, meeting the load of industrial parks, such as: Giang Dien Industrial Park 110kV Station (Dong Nai province); Du Long Industrial Park Transformer Station (Ninh Thuan); Thanh An 110kV Substation (Binh Duong); 110kV outflow from Phuoc Long 220kV Station (Binh Phuoc)...
In addition, many other key 110kV projects in the southern provinces, such as: 110kV North Phu Quoc Station, 110kV U Minh Thuong Station and 110kV NR Line connecting 110kV U Minh Thuong Station (Kien Giang); Ninh Phuoc - Tuy Phong - Phan Ri Circuit 2 Line, Binh Thuan - Ninh Thuan Province (Binh Thuan); Renovation and capacity increase of Dam Doi 110kV Substation (Ca Mau); Renovation and capacity increase of 110kV line of Bao Loc - Di Linh 220kV Substation (Lam Dong)... have also been completed and put into operation in the first quarter of 2025, contributing to promoting socio-economic development of localities...

Take the initiative in "golden time" in construction
To achieve the above results, from the beginning of 2025, the Party Committee and the Board of Directors together with more than 20,000 officers and employees of EVNSPC launched and responded to the emulation, determined to achieve the goal of completing 50 110kV projects before April 30, 2025.
This is a very difficult and challenging goal that EVNSPC has to face. Specifically, overlapping investment procedures, difficulties in land, shortage of human resources, difficult terrain and construction geology... However, with great efforts, high determination, innovation, breakthroughs in direction, management and above all, the joint efforts and consensus of leaders, officers, employees of EVNSPC, member units, and contractors are demonstrated more clearly than ever.

Mr. Le Van Trang, Chairman of EVNSPC's Board of Members, said that the new approach in EVNSPC's investment and construction work in 2025 is contrary to the practice of completing investment and construction projects in the last months of the year. This year, EVNSPC's leadership has decided to change the management plan, speeding up construction progress right from the first days and months of the year, in order to take advantage of the dry season - the "golden time" in construction, installation, and transportation of materials and equipment. This decision not only demonstrates a flexible management mindset, closely following reality, but also mastering the plan and progress, helping to allocate human resources and resources effectively.
In addition, the EVNSPC leadership team, from the Chairman of the Board of Members, General Director to members and Deputy General Directors, are directly following the construction site, accompanying the Project Management Units, Power Companies, and contractors to resolve each difficulty and problem for each project. From the meeting room to the construction site, from the desk to the electric pole, the direct working sessions or through working methods, remote management... all demonstrate the urgent and serious working spirit of all forces participating in the project.
The project to upgrade the 110kV transmission line capacity of the 220kV Duc Trong - Da Lat 1 substation has just been completed and energized before April 30, 2025.
Units were happy when the Thanh Binh 110kV transformer station and Dong Thap province connection line were successfully energized after nearly 5 months of construction efforts.
In particular, the determination to complete the project on schedule, ensuring safety and quality is spread to all construction sites and construction teams of the contractors. Many projects are arranged to work in "3 shifts, 4 shifts", working through the night, on holidays and on holidays. Some of these projects are working throughout the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday, or until the 28th of the Lunar New Year...
In order for 50 projects to "finish" on time, it is impossible not to mention the efforts, enthusiasm, and day/night work of leaders, officers, and employees of professional departments, member power companies, the Southern Power Project Management Board, the Southern Power Grid Project Management Board, the Southern Power Testing Company, the Southern Power Consulting Company, the SCADA Operation Center... Especially the support, coordination, companionship, and sharing of local authorities and people in the work of handing over the site for the projects.

50 110kV power grid projects are a symbol of 50 years of national reunification, 50 years of construction and growth of the Southern electricity industry, and also a gratitude of EVNSPC officers and employees today to the country and to previous generations of the electricity industry. At the same time, it is an affirmation of the determination of a dynamic collective, with a new mindset to be ready to enter a new phase, together with Vietnam Electricity Group to fulfill the mission assigned by the Party and State, which is "Electricity goes one step ahead".
It is known that immediately after completing 50 projects to celebrate the April 30th holiday, EVNSPC immediately started operating to continue implementing construction and energizing 34 projects in May - June 2025, aiming to complete 84 projects in the first 6 months of the year. In particular, focusing on thoroughly handling 100% of 110kV grid projects that have been stuck for many years.
