One day at the end of June 2024, the people of Khanh My village (Tam Thanh commune, Phu Ninh district) actively responded to the "Grassroots Mass Mobilization Day" launched by the Phu Ninh District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department.
According to the plan, the main task for the villagers is to help build the embankments for the newly constructed concrete road connecting the village to the commune center.
With the consensus and significant contributions of the people, to date, 21 out of 25 roads in Khanh My village have been concreted, and the people have mobilized to widen the road surface on 4 roads, awaiting investment allocation to continue the project.
According to Mr. Huynh Van Ly, Secretary of the Party Branch of Khanh My village, among the many effective "People's Mobilization" models registered and implemented by the Party branch, the most outstanding is the model of "Mobilizing people to donate land, buildings, and matching funds to expand the road surface and build rural roads."
Based on the agreed investment policy and allocated funds from higher levels, the Party branch developed a plan and assigned tasks to the village's Front Committee, the village's People's Mobilization Team, and various mass organizations to mobilize the people to clear the land and contribute labor for implementation.
“Through mobilization efforts, the people contributed 440 million VND; donated over 8,500 square meters of land; more than 1,000 man-days of labor; 15 fences, and 1 sturdy gate to expand the roadbed for rural transportation. The results of implementing the ‘Effective People Mobilization’ model by the Party branch have created a new look for the village, and there are no longer any poor households in the hamlet,” Mr. Ly said.
In summarizing 15 years of implementing the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement (2009 - 2024), Ms. Tran Thi Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch, Head of the Front Committee of Dan Long village (Tam Dan commune, Phu Ninh district) is one of 26 exemplary individuals awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
The story of Ms. Hai using her land use rights certificate as collateral to borrow 200 million VND from the bank for 4 years to help 20 female members of the Small Business Club start their businesses is one of many meaningful actions that bring practical benefits to people at the grassroots level.
Every month, Ms. Hai also coordinates and mobilizes the people to participate in cleaning up the environment on village roads, implementing waste sorting at source, and participating in the "Green House" model to collect scrap materials to raise funds to help poor women. Each quarter, she helps 20 poor women with more than 10 million VND...
Party member Tran Thi Hai has demonstrated a pioneering and exemplary spirit in disseminating information and influencing people's awareness to participate in achieving effective sustainable poverty reduction. To date, the poverty rate in the village is only 1%, and the near-poverty rate is 0.02%.
"I will always strive to help those in difficult circumstances, upholding the motto 'Leaving no one behind'; actively mobilizing people to participate in and fulfill the criteria for model new rural areas in the locality," Ms. Hai reflected.
Focus on quality and efficiency.
Over the past 15 years of implementing the "Effective Mass Mobilization" emulation movement, Phu Ninh district has seen nearly 1,200 "Effective Mass Mobilization" models implemented by various departments, armed forces, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations across the district. Among these, over 300 exemplary "Effective Mass Mobilization" models have proven effective and can be replicated.
In the socio-cultural field, many successful "people mobilization" models have been registered for implementation, linked to "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh," participating in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, and sustainable poverty reduction.
In conjunction with that, the implementation of Directive 13 dated May 13, 2021, of the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee on strengthening the Party's leadership in implementing the movement to build a "bright - green - clean - beautiful" environmental landscape is being integrated...
Ms. Bui Thi Kim Hoang, Deputy Head of the Phu Ninh District Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department, said: "From the spread of the 'Skilled Mass Mobilization' movement and the implementation of Directive No. 13, the Steering Committee for the implementation of the 'Skilled Mass Mobilization' model emulation movement in the district has launched the implementation of models based on 'orders' - a new approach in directing implementation."
Accordingly, the entire district has focused on building landscapes at 11 central intersections in communes and towns, and 51 locations in villages and neighborhoods, creating green spaces at traffic junctions throughout the district," Ms. Kim Hoang shared.
Mr. Le Van Ninh, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Phu Ninh District Party Committee, said that throughout the 20 years since the district's establishment, mass mobilization work in general and the "Skilled Mass Mobilization" emulation movement in particular have always been closely linked to the task of building the homeland and developing new rural areas.
"With nearly 1,200 models developed across various fields, including more than 110 exemplary models that have been replicated, this is vivid evidence of the effectiveness of the 'Skilled Mass Mobilization' emulation movement in the district," Mr. Ninh affirmed.
