At FPT University, Vietnamese cultural imprints are clearly shown through diverse activities. Students practice their bravery through the quintessence of Vietnamese martial arts Vovinam, and spread national sounds through traditional musical instruments. Traditional beauty is also shown through graduation projects and student communities.

Vovinam - The quintessence of Vietnamese martial arts, training courage

Vovinam is both a sport and a journey to train the character of FPT University students. Right from the first year, students have been exposed to the essence of Vietnamese martial arts through basic knowledge such as stance, hand and foot techniques, and flexible forms. In particular, the school creatively combines tradition and modernity, bringing martial music into the training program, creating impressive performances in group practice exercises at the end of the course.

To spread the martial arts spirit and create a playground for passionate young people, FPT University regularly organizes large-scale martial arts events. The school's annual Hovilo Game competition or the FPT Edu competition to inspire Vietnamese martial arts of FPTEducation Organization are places where students have the opportunity to challenge themselves, exchange and learn, and conquer prestigious awards.

Traditional musical instruments in the lecture hall

FPT University brings a colorful traditional music space through the Traditional Musical Instruments subject. Students are free to choose their favorite musical instruments such as the zither, bamboo flute, monochord, moon lute, and two-stringed fiddle under the guidance of experienced lecturers. Traditional melodies not only resound in class but also spread widely through community projects, bringing traditional music to high school students.

Students also had the opportunity to express their passion and musical talent through the Tich Tich Tinh Tang contest organized by FPT Education Organization. From here, many projects (DA) to spread traditional values were implemented, in which the theme song "Giai Melo Viet Nam Minh" made a strong impression when it was shown in the Miss Cosmo finale and received positive reception from the audience on many social networking platforms.

In the near future, the music project Cho con la nguoi Viet Nam (Cho con la nguoi Viet Nam) will continue its journey of spreading national pride, recreating heroic historical moments and the aspirations of the young generation to contribute on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification and the 80th anniversary of National Day.

Culture, traditional craft villages in graduation project

Continuing the spirit of spreading national culture, FPT University students have brought traditional beauty into graduation projects in a creative and impressive way. The Fashion Show Kèo kêt by designer Lâm Thanh Đạt (a student of FPT University) made a strong impression when introducing a unique fashion collection from Cham brocade, harmoniously combining traditional culture and modern design style.

In addition, students also demonstrated their creative talents in cinema and event organization. The short film Thoi vang chi ngoc by the student group touched the hearts of the audience with its meaningful content, praising the cultural values of traditional weaving villages and spreading positive messages to the younger generation. The exhibition Mach lo gam hoa by the Multimedia Communication student group was also a special highlight, when using AR technology to explore the story behind Khmer costumes, combined with valuable sharing from artisan Neang Chanh Ty about the process of creating sophisticated brocades.

Connecting Vietnamese culture with the community

Beyond the classroom, the national spirit is vividly expressed through community activities. The Vietnamese Folk Costume Art Project is a testament to that, with the participation of two former students of FPT University, Tram Minh Thao and Le Vu Huyen Tran. The group of young people devoted much effort to vividly recreate the traditional costumes of 54 Vietnamese ethnic groups through each meticulous drawing, contributing to spreading the beauty of culture and ethnic diversity.

Currently, Dong bao Viet Phuc operates as a non-profit organization, with the goal of bringing traditional culture, especially the beauty of ethnic minorities, closer to young people. In the future, the group plans to expand DA from online to real life, through creative products such as postcards, tags, pins, keychains, photo books, and at the same time seek cooperation from organizations and individuals with the same passion. Recently, DA has created a big buzz when participating in the Guinness Road activity of the Concert Anh trai vu ngan cong gai , with a check-in backdrop and an exhibition of paintings of 54 ethnic groups.

The impressive graduation projects and community of FPT University students are a harmonious combination of professional knowledge and the quintessence of Vietnamese culture. From AR technology to visual arts, from brocade fashion to meaningful short films, students have affirmed their creativity and responsibility in preserving and promoting national identity. This demonstrates the school's success in creating a modern educational environment rich in cultural identity. Students not only experience international and multicultural exploration but also always preserve traditional values, spreading the beauty of Vietnamese culture to international friends.
