On July 31, the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee said that provincial leaders had just chaired a meeting with relevant parties on the project to upgrade and renovate blocks B and C of the Provincial General Hospital in Pleiku ward.
It is known that the project to upgrade and renovate blocks B and C was approved by the Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee on November 15, 2024.
By July 14, 2025, the project will change its investor from the Department of Health to the Gia Lai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board.
This project was approved by the Provincial People's Council to allocate 44 billion VND from the local budget for implementation.
According to hospital leaders, during the construction process, the hospital will hand over the site in accordance with the professional operation situation.
The upgrading and renovation of area B will be carried out in a rolling manner, with each room belonging to the departments such as examination, anesthesia and resuscitation, diagnostic imaging, biochemistry, microbiology, hematology and blood transfusion, pathology, endoscopy, and artificial kidney unit being handed over in turn.
For the upgrading and renovation of area C, the hospital will arrange for temporary relocation to less used departments or take advantage of existing space, ensuring uninterrupted patient care.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Lich, Vice Chairwoman of Gia Lai Provincial People's Committee, requested the Project Management Board to coordinate with the hospital to develop an implementation plan, ensuring that the construction does not affect the examination, treatment and hospitalization of patients; maintaining stable operations of related departments in areas B and C.
