The Department of Mothers and Children (Ministry of Health) has just sent an official dispatch to ministries, departments, branches; People's Committees of provinces and centrally-run cities on instructions for organizing the implementation of the Month of Action for Children in 2025.
Pursuant to the Law on Children, the Month of Action for Children is held annually to promote the implementation of children's rights, enhance the responsibility of families, schools, agencies, organizations and individuals in caring for, educating and protecting children. The Month of Action for Children 2025 is held from June 1 to June 30 with the theme: Prioritizing resources to achieve goals for children.
The purpose of the Month of Action for Children is to increase the attention and direction of leaders, policy makers, levels and sectors on child care, education and protection; Promote the provision of comprehensive services on child care, education and protection; Prioritize the allocation of resources to complete the goals, targets, tasks and solutions to ensure the implementation of children's rights as set out.
In 2025, the Ministry of Health will develop 12 slogans for the Month of Action for Children in 2025, including: Prioritizing resources to complete goals for children; Promoting community strength to implement goals for children; Strengthening prevention and early intervention to solve children's problems; Acting for children today, building a bright tomorrow...
Organizing the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action for Children 2025, Central agencies and provinces and cities organize or integrate the Launching Ceremony of the Month of Action for Children 2025 into related events. The time of organization and implementation is in the last week of May 2025 or on the opening day of the Month of Action for Children (June 1, 2025).
Professional activities during the Month of Action for Children 2025 include: Organizing conferences to advocate policies on solutions to prioritize resources to implement goals for children; Conferences and workshops to review, summarize, and evaluate the results of implementing programs and projects on children approved by the Prime Minister related to local responsibilities.
Relevant units organize periodic health check-ups for children under 24 months old according to the guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health; Increase the provision of quality medical services for children; Mobilize resources to support children in surgery for congenital malformations, poor children with cancer; Open training classes on safety skills to prevent accidents and injuries, teach swimming to children.../.
