Rewarding collectives and individuals who have done well in Resolution 347-NQ/QUTW in the Provincial Border Guard

According to Colonel Nguyen Thuc Linh (Political Commissar of the Provincial Military Command), 5 major highlights have been clearly demonstrated after 10 years of implementing Resolution 347-NQ/QUTW. Most notably, the Party Committee and the Military Command have proactively researched, forecasted, assessed, commented, monitored, and grasped developments of the situation; reported, advised, and proposed to handle defense and security situations closely, consistently, flexibly, promptly, and effectively, contributing to maintaining political security, order, and social safety, and firmly protecting national border sovereignty in the area.

In addition, the unit proactively researches, forecasts, and advises the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to issue many action programs, resolutions, plans, and important projects to effectively implement the task of socio -economic development associated with strengthening national defense and security, and building an increasingly solid provincial defense zone. The work of planning, training, fostering, and improving the quality of the advisory agency and the team of research, forecasting, and defense advisory staff is increasingly focused on, meeting the requirements of the task.

The Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command closely coordinate with the police, border guards, departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, and localities in this work. Carry out well the work of protecting internal politics, protecting military secrets, fighting against reactionary and hostile viewpoints, and protecting the Party's ideological foundation in cyberspace. In particular, coordinate well the implementation of defense diplomacy with the authorities at all levels and the Cambodian armed forces; regularly visit and hold meetings to inform, exchange, provide information, and share experiences in performing defense tasks, resolving incidents occurring on the border, preventing complicated incidents, maintaining a stable, friendly, cooperative, and developing border.

Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Hiep (Party Secretary, Political Commissar of the Provincial Border Guard) informed that along the border, the Border Guard forces focus on implementing programs and projects to develop the economy, culture and society in conjunction with ensuring national defense and security, in accordance with natural and social conditions and customs and practices of ethnic minorities, in order to protect the Fatherland early and from afar. The province pays attention to investing in developing infrastructure and border gate economy, demonstrated by planning and investing in the construction of 3 border gate economic zones (Tinh Bien - Tinh Bien Town, Khanh Binh - An Phu District, Vinh Xuong - Tan Chau Town). Currently, in the border gate economic zones, there are 33 domestic projects with valid investment licenses, with registered capital of 6,242 billion VND. The Provincial People's Committee continues to focus on developing the logistics system, implementing regulations on border trade at the An Giang - Cambodia border gate pairs, upgrading Khanh Binh Border Gate to Khanh Binh International Road and River Border Gate...

Along with that, the Border Guard advises on planning, building residential clusters and routes in border areas, implementing border patrol road projects, building bridges and roads to border posts. This activity not only serves patrolling and controlling security and order, but also creates favorable conditions for people to settle down, live stably and sustainably. The entire unit focuses on leading and directing the improvement of the capacity to manage the Internet network and specialized software for work; ensuring information security in the provincial Border Guard at all levels. Focus on firmly grasping the situation at border gates, especially policies and regulations on entry and exit, import and export; methods and tricks of criminals taking advantage of activities through border gates and borders. Maintain and strictly implement procedures, check and supervise border guards, issue visas and all kinds of permits at border gates, etc.

To effectively implement Resolution 347-NQ/QUTW, Party committees and commanders of agencies and units continue to strengthen leadership, direction, dissemination and serious implementation of resolutions at all levels, plans and action programs of Military Region 9, Border Guard Command, Provincial Party Committee and Provincial People's Committee related to research, forecasting, and consulting on the situation; carry out military and defense tasks in greater depth and with practical effectiveness.
