Military Strategy Studies, General Command of the Royal Cambodian Army, led by Mr. Kim Vanna, Director of the Center, who were on a working visit to Vietnam, in mid-August 2024.

The visit and work is an important opportunity to strengthen cooperation and exchange of experiences between the two armies. Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Huynh Chien Thang, received the delegation, demonstrating Vietnam's commitment to building a sustainable military relationship with Cambodia. Within the framework of the working program, the two sides discussed issues related to regional security, cooperation in training and education of military officers, as well as research and development activities of military strategy. In addition, exchanges between military officers will help enhance mutual understanding, as well as improve the ability to respond to common security challenges. In addition to professional exchanges, cultural exchanges and intimate meetings will also contribute to deepening the relationship between the two armies. In the coming time, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Huynh Chien Thang suggested that the two military and defense strategy research agencies continue to effectively implement the Memorandum of Understanding on research cooperation between the two sides; sharing information to effectively advise the leaders of
the Ministry of National Defense and the Army of the two countries in planning defense policies and strategies of each country; continue to organize strategic research training courses. For his part, Director of the Center for Military Strategy Studies, General Command of the Royal Cambodian Army, Mr. Kim Vanna expressed his hope that the two sides will continue to cooperate and help each other, contributing to strengthening the friendly relations between the two armies and peoples, for peace and stability in the region. General Kim Vanna thanked the leaders of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army for taking the time to receive the delegation; at the same time, expressed his hope that the two sides will continue to cooperate and help each other, contributing to strengthening the friendly relations between the armies and peoples of the two countries, for peace and stability in the region./.
