In order to awaken the potential of rural tourism, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan No. 837/KH-UBND dated March 15, 2023 on implementing the Rural Tourism Development Program associated with new rural construction. Accordingly, the province focuses on developing rural tourism associated with promoting the potential and advantages of agriculture, craft villages, culture and ecological environment of localities, aiming to improve the quality of material and spiritual life of rural people, contributing to the restructuring of the rural economy towards multi-value integration, inclusiveness and sustainable development. Encourage the development of agricultural economy towards multi-value in regions, cooperatives and farms to combine production with experiential tourism.

When rural tourism develops, there will be more jobs for young people, so that they can have creative ideas, take advantage of the peaceful countryside scenery, diverse cultural features, and rich agricultural products to promote the development of agricultural and rural tourism. Models and projects linking production, processing of agricultural products, and rural craft villages are promoted, closely linked with tourism activities to create added value. The development of OCOP products also contributes to the transformation of thinking from agricultural production to production associated with business, services and tourism. The whole province has built and developed more than 300 OCOP products, meeting quality standards and regulations, food safety with beautiful packaging and designs, ensuring aesthetic factors, and having the potential to develop into products serving tourism. OCOP product production facilities such as: Rice noodles, Hung Lo banh chung, Thanh Son sour meat, production and processing of Cam My and Long Coc tea... are also gradually integrated with tourism activities, visitors can learn about the production process, experience the reality and enjoy local specialties. Connecting the consumption of local products not only develops tourism but also helps to consume agricultural products better, those products are the soul of the countryside, the unique value of each locality, "each village has a product".

In order for rural tourism to truly develop sustainably, commensurate with its potential, and bring in a stable source of income, the province has opened many training courses on tourism skills, management and customer service for people at tourist destinations. Invest in upgrading transport infrastructure, accommodation facilities and facilities serving tourists. Develop diverse tourism products, combining agriculture, culture and ecology. Promote tourism promotion through media channels and social networks; build and digitize information and explanatory documents on cultural and historical relics, eco-tourism destinations and traditional craft villages... associated with rural tourism.
