In recent days, Thai Nguyen Provincial Tax has directed 8 local Tax units to continuously organize propaganda conferences, strengthen coordination with local authorities and launch a movement to support business households to switch from lump-sum tax to declaration.
Mr. Nguyen Van Sy, Deputy Head of Tax Department 2, said: At the conferences, in addition to business households, there is also the participation of local government leaders, helping tax authorities grasp the situation, predict difficulties early and implement effectively.
With the motto of “going to every alley, knocking on every household, holding hands to guide the work”, during the 60 peak days, Tax officials directly went to each business location to clearly disseminate the key content of the policy of abolishing lump-sum tax. At the same time, they guided the application of technology in tax declaration, payment and use of electronic invoices, aiming to increase transparency and fairness in management.
Ms. Le Thi Trang, owner of Hung Manh Metal Business in Pho Yen Ward, in the revenue group of 200 million to 3 billion VND, said: At first, she was hesitant to convert. After being informed, her family business has proactively switched to tax declaration for nearly a month now. The first benefit is to track revenue, expenses, profits and losses right on the electronic system, make financial plans, adjust business activities in a timely manner, proactively calculate tax obligations and estimate costs, expand or reduce the scale appropriately.
The business of Mr. Trinh Quoc Hoang, selling baby diapers and milk in Phu Luong commune, after being informed, also made the conversion ahead of schedule. Mr. Hoang commented: This conversion helps manage goods conveniently, and at the same time install the eTax Mobile application to declare and pay taxes online quickly, saving time and costs.

In fact, many business households have recognized the benefits of conversion and proactively implemented it. Over 37,000 households have installed eTax Mobile to declare, pay taxes electronically and transmit data to tax authorities. The Tax Department has also reviewed the database of 43,609 households (99%) to ensure conditions to support conversion.
To reassure business households, the Tax Department has synchronously deployed solutions according to the Project on converting tax management models and methods for business households when eliminating lump-sum tax, issued with Decision 3389/QD-BTC of the Ministry of Finance , in the spirit of accompanying taxpayers.
Business households and individuals are provided with detailed instructions on the registration, declaration and electronic tax payment process, as well as support policies for the initial phase of applying the new model. This support helps reduce difficulties in conversion, especially for older households or those with limited access to technology.
The Tax Authority also regularly receives feedback from taxpayers to promptly resolve difficulties, update problems and complete administrative procedures, creating maximum convenience for the conversion process.
Mr. Vu Huy Tu, Tax officer at Base 4, said: Implementing the direction of the Provincial Tax, the unit has deployed a unified communication plan, diversifying support forms according to industry and business scale. Officials directly guide the entire conversion process, so that each business household feels the companionship, attentive service and peace of mind in fulfilling tax obligations.
The campaign "60 peak days of converting the model from lump-sum tax to declaration for business households" ends on December 30, 2025. After that, Thai Nguyen Provincial Tax will continue to accompany, helping taxpayers understand the benefits of the declaration model, an important step towards modern, fair and sustainable tax management, while gradually improving management capacity, serving the digital economy and being more transparent in the long term.
