Admission method and enrollment quota of the Academy of Finance in 2025
In 2025, the Academy of Finance (AOF) plans to enroll 6,320 students through 3 admission methods. The school plans to expand its branches in Ho Chi Minh City (expected), Hoa Lac High-Tech Park
Method 1: Direct Admission Method
Object
(1) Labor heroes, People's Armed Forces heroes, and National Emulation Fighters who have graduated from high school are directly admitted to all majors and programs of the Academy;
(2) Candidates who win first, second, or third prizes in national or international competitions for excellent students or national or international science and technology competitions organized and sent to participate by the Ministry of Education and Training; the time of winning the prize is not more than 3 years from the time of admission consideration, will be considered for direct admission in the year of high school graduation to the Academy in a major suitable for the exam subject or content of the competition topic in which the candidate won the prize;
(3) The Director of the Academy shall consider and decide on admission to the following cases based on the candidates' high school study results and the requirements of the training sector:
- Candidates with severe disabilities who have a certificate of disability issued by a competent authority as prescribed, are able to study a number of majors prescribed by the Academy but are not able to apply for admission through the normal admission method;
- Candidates who are ethnic minorities with very few people according to current regulations of the Government and candidates from 20 poor border and island districts in the Southwest region; candidates who have permanent residence for 3 years or more, studied for 3 years and graduated from high school in poor districts (boarding students of ethnic minorities are calculated based on permanent residence) according to regulations of the Government and the Prime Minister , as of the date of submission of the application for registration; these candidates must take 01 year of additional knowledge before officially entering school. The additional knowledge program is prescribed by the Director of the Academy;
- Candidates are foreigners whose Vietnamese knowledge and proficiency test results meet current regulations of the Minister of Education and Training.
Admission principles
- Consider candidates who are ethnic minorities with very few people according to current regulations of the Government and candidates from 20 poor border and island districts in the Southwest region; candidates with permanent residence for 3 years or more, studying for 3 years and graduating from high school in poor districts according to the principle of considering scores from high to low.
Admission score
Admission score is the average score of 3 years of high school.
Method 2: Combined Admission Method
Group 1 : Candidates who have graduated from high school nationwide, with good grades in 3 years of high school, and have one of the following outstanding achievements:
- Candidates who won the Encouragement Prize in the national and international excellent student selection exam organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, nominated to participate in one of the subjects: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Informatics, English, Literature.
- Candidates who won First, Second, Third prizes in the provincial/municipal excellent student selection exam in one of the following subjects: Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Information Technology, English, Literature.
- Candidates with IELTS Academic certificate with 5.5 points or more, TOEFL iBT with 55 points or more (not using Home Edition) or SAT with 1050 points or more.
Admission principles
Candidates who have graduated from high school nationwide, have achieved good grades in 3 years of high school, and have one of the outstanding achievements.
The transcript converts outstanding academic results and international English certificates to a 10-point scale as follows:

+ Subject 1 score: 2025 high school graduation exam score in math.
+ Subject 2 score: Average converted score from the learning results of the entire year of grades 10, 11, 12 of 3 subjects in the admission combination on a 10-point scale (The Academy will announce the conversion rules after the results of the 2025 high school graduation exam are available according to the general instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training).
+ Subject 3 score: Conversion score of outstanding academic results, international English certificate (converted on a 10-point scale according to the conversion table).
- Candidates are considered for admission on the general system according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Admission scores are taken to 2 decimal places for consideration. If many candidates have the same admission score at the end of the list, the math score will be used as a secondary criterion from high to low.
Group 2 : Candidates who have graduated from high school nationwide and have achieved good grades in 3 years of high school.

Method 3: Admission method based on high school graduation exam results in 2025
Admission principles
Candidates applying for the CCQT orientation program or the English Language standard program are considered for admission based on the combinations A01, D01, D07. The remaining majors and the DDP and Toulon programs are considered for admission based on the combinations A00, A01, D01, D07.
- Candidates are considered for admission on the general system according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- International University Program, English Language, DDP, Toulon: English is doubled for groups A01, D01, D07, Math is doubled for group A00. The remaining programs have Math doubled.
- The admission score is converted to a 30-point scale, taken to 2 decimal places for admission consideration. If many candidates have the same admission score at the bottom of the list, the Math score will be used as a secondary criterion from highest to lowest.
- For candidates with international English certificates converted to a 10-point scale to replace the English graduation exam score (including candidates without an English exam score). For candidates with an English graduation exam score higher than the converted score, there is no need to replace this exam score.
