The City Forest Protection Department (Department of Agriculture and Environment) said that the weather in Da Nang is hot and sunny over a large area, with a risk of forest fires. Therefore, the City Forest Protection Department requested the People's Committees of districts, wards and communes to closely monitor the implementation of forest fire prevention and fighting measures; prohibit the use of fire to treat the ground cover. Forest protection units and forest management boards inform agencies, units and communities in forested areas about forest fire forecasts; prepare human resources, means and tools for forest fire fighting; promptly report the forest fire situation to the People's Committees of districts and the Forest Protection Department. In addition, monitor and inspect forest owners in complying with regulations on forest fire prevention and fighting; coordinate with the management boards of eco-tourism areas to monitor and remind visitors to pay attention to safety in using fire when visiting and traveling in the forest; strictly handle violations of forest fire prevention and fighting.
