On the morning of June 3, more than 11,000 candidates in Da Nang completed the math test in the 10th grade entrance exam for public high schools.
The test consisted of 6 questions with a familiar structure, with clear differentiation, many of which were related to real life. Many candidates expressed surprise and regret when the Viet question (Viete's Theorem) no longer appeared.

Linh Dan, a student at Tran Phu High School, commented: "Compared to previous years, this year's exam is easier, the content closely follows the curriculum. I think the exam has good differentiation, it's easy to get an 8, but to get a 9-10, you have to be really solid in knowledge and skills. I think this year all subjects must be above 8 points to get into top schools."
Similarly, candidate Mai Khoi (Tran Hung Dao Secondary School) commented: "The geometry question was the most difficult, it took me a lot of time. The question was long and easy to get confused if you don't read carefully, but overall it was easier than every year. I got about 8 points."
A notable point is that many candidates who invested in reviewing the Vietnamese section were somewhat disappointed when the exam did not include this type of question. Khang Huy, a student at Huynh Thuc Khang Secondary School, shared: "I spent a whole month reviewing the Vietnamese section because it often appeared in previous years. When I saw that the exam did not include it, I felt a bit regretful, but fortunately because this is usually the difficult part and I did quite well with the remaining questions."
According to records, most candidates left the exam room in a relaxed mood, finishing the 10th grade entrance exam easily after three subjects: literature, foreign language, and math.
